As someone else mentioned, that's likely the max earnings and very probable the structure of the deal has him not ever seeing all of that.

Worth up to $10.95M, so that means it's max of $10.95M with incentives most likely, likely $1M a yr, so it's likely a 3yr $7.95M deal, $2.65M a yr deal, that aint bad for a ST Ace & a guy who can play SS if needed.
