Not quite sure, have to check, would like to go after someone who was cut so they don't hurt our comp picks, or someone for cheap, like under $2.5M.

Right, it is early.
As far as replacing DJJ and Laken with Kinlaw and Banks, we've seen Kinlaw, and he's an inferior player to DJJ in all aspects of DL play. Who knows what they have in Aaron Banks, but the fact that he was a 2nd-round pick and couldn't crack the active day roster let alone win the starting job is not a good sign.
Kinlaw is not inferior, Jones will never get a pick 6 in his career. Banks did great when he played this past year stepping in when needed.
When did Banks step in? I don't remember that.
You're gonna have to excuse 49AllTheTime, he tends to make these kinds of claims then disappears for a good amount of time, case in point this post is from 3/20 and it's going on 3/31 now.

Since that point, 10 weeks into the 2021 regular season, Banks has been active on game day only twice and has yet to see an offensive snap. And as far as any special teams activities, he's gotten only four of those.

cc, here's a list of guys who are Street Free Agents, who wouldn't count against the comp pick formula.
RG David Quessenberry
C J.C. Tretter
LG Ereck Flowers
C Trey Hopkins
RG Xavier Su'a-Filo
Idk what they'd cost, but considering they were all cut, or not tendered(Quessenberry), idk why they'd go for more than like $3M-$5M for 1yr, or a 2-3 yrs deal, Tretter is the best on the list, he is 31, Quessenberry is actually 32, wow, didn't realize that.

I think he can play OT as well.
would love Tretter, but would be contingent on him playing G for s tear then could take over C next year. Hrs young enough at 31. Would kill 2 birds with 1 stone. Would immediately improve g position and give a successor to Mack at C

I wouldn't touch Flowers. Tretter would be a good idea if Mack is retiring. Otherwise I'd rather spend draft capital on a center. It looks like a decent year for mid round Olinemen.

Whats the take on Tretter? It looks like he's solid at run blocking, how's his pass pro? Thoughts on why he's still available?
Honestly, if they think he can hold it down at OC, I'd be fine with letting Mack retire, and handing the job to Tretter. He's a lot younger.

When did he play? I can't find it where he played in a real game or had snaps. I'm not asking to be dick, just wanting to see what I missed maybe catch the Youtube vids of it so I can see how he performed.

I did Google it. Brainwashed because I can't find it? 🧐
Most of his snaps came on ST which he didn't give up any pressure or penalties, He played on the OL vs the Jags. also no pressure, sacks or penalties

Bosa impressed with Aaron Banks
Fans haven't seen much of 49ers second-round draft pick Aaron Banks this season, but that doesn't mean he isn't making progress at practice.
49ers defensive end Nick Bosa has had the chance to match up against the rookie offensive lineman at practice this season and on Thursday he told reporters that Banks is better now than he was earlier in the year.
"He seems stronger, but yeah, just pass protection's better, more stout," Bosa said. "I don't go against him too often, but when I have, and I've seen him in one-on-ones and stuff, he's looking good."
That's encouraging news given how little Banks has played this season. He's appeared in the last five games for the 49ers, with most of his snaps coming on special teams

Got it so most of the analysis on Banks projecting as a starter is from practice and few snaps towards the end of the Jags game after we had crushed them. I hope folks are right.

There has to be something medical with him because OL like this are gone by the tampering period. Anybody have any insight? He seems like he'd be a really nice piece to the OL room and a front line starter.

All good, Reps are reps. No Sacks, run stuffs, FG or Punt blocks, and most of all no penalties is all you can ask for... If any of those happened.. i'm sure people would have known he played

Wasn't Xavier Su'a-Filo on the team last year or am I mistaken?
There was a guard on our team last preseason that I thought played really well but went unnoticed.
If it was him id like him back.
