First of all, credit to Dopeman for this thread.
Second of all, I think John Lynch should be retained even after this less than optimal off-season so far. I think Lynch and Kyle have a good working relationship that helped accomplish an unbelievably rebuild to a franchise that was a laughing stock at one point around the league after the whole Harbaugh fiasco.
We we might be able to do better with him gone but I also believe we can do worse and I would rather not find out which is true.
What do you say?

I take it you guys agre with me hat he shouldn't be replaced.
It's a legit question. Why lock it?
I've seen some say that Lynch is holding Kyle back, botching another off-season, that he is better off in the booth than handling Niners roster.

Shanahan has more control over the roster than Lynch. So no, he should not be replaced.

If Kyle wanted Jimmy gone he would be gone faster than this. If Kyle wanted some FA badly they would've force the Jimmy cut. They're "equals" but KYLE>john is how the owners see it in my opinion

Thanks for the honest reply.
I have brought up the same thing in other threads. It's tough to place blame on either of them because I truly believe they work as a tandem, which is probably one of the main reasons for their success.

The only move here would be to make Lynch team president and move Adam Peter's to GM.

No. He's just a great job for the most part. He's had some misses , but some really great talent has been brought to this team in the later rounds. I never really thought we'd get much for Jimmy Anyway. I'm on the side of cut Jimmy and gain the cap space.
