Adam Peters is goat. If you're gonna replace Lynch, then it has to be peters

Lynch and Kyle have built a heck of a roster while being given very little talent to start with. They have also created a winning culture here. Most teams would've just folded under the expectations of last year, all the injuries, and the poor start.

And if we want to fire Lynch, everyone else needs to be fired. Lynch can't be the scapegoat here. Paraag, Kyle, Peters, Lynch, they all work together. Lynch definitely doesn't have the same power as a lot of other GMs in the league.

And this is why firing Lynch would be nothing more than a PR move. It would have no effect on the day to day operations. If you want to make a splash / generate a headline, you fire Lynch. If you want to change the team building philosophy, you fire the other people you named...those who wield actual power.

What makes anyone think the entire FO and coaching staff isn't 100% onboard with the way they're building this team.

The team is trying to get younger so they aren't resigning some of their expensive and aging players.

They have a boat load of draft picks (which they'll obviously use to move up and target players) and they believe they develop and utilize talent at many positions (RB, DL, OL, WR, LB) better than other teams.

They also believe they're schematically superior on both sides of the ball.

They splurged to fix special teams and think they're going to become the next Steelers, Patriots, or Ravens and have continued success for a long time.

So far they seem on track.

That would be my pick.
I hate this thread. At least the title anyway. People don't know how lucky we are to have Lynch AND Shanahan for that matter. Not that they don't have flaws but it's unbelievable how if they aren't absolutely perfect, then it's "Fire Lynch!" or "Fire Shanahan!"

I've always thought, would you rather have an old crusty GM that plays it super safe from year to year or the GM that takes some risks and pulls some triggers? I love having young, creative minds at the helm. And what other HC/GM combo works as closely together as ours? We have been literally inches away from Super Bowl Titles with them in only a small handful of years. They're just getting rolling, yet, not good enough for most.

Look around the league and tell me how many other GM/HC combos you would rather have?
People said yes.

Until he actually gets the job, doesn't do what enough people want, and then we can start the "Should Adam Peters get replaced as GM" thread.

Cool.

Although, the above has nothing to do with what I said....
Do y'all know how many teams would die for the turnaround that lynch has done for us lmao good lord

Same.

altho I think that still doesn't address my main concern about Kyle having too much responsibility to do everything well. It's why he has time management issues in games. He's busy looking at plays while missing the game.

we need an adult in the room. The kind that would say, hey, we have a top pick and no QB. Maybe we should go to a pro day.

Still waiting on the adult in the room.
Lol at this f**king thread

What do you think would be different from now, if Peters was GM. I get the impression that his opinion counts for a lot right now.
This is quite silly.

As if a poll from which most of us, with the exception of a handful in here, have any clue what it takes to build a multi million $ team in a heavily regulated league whilst dealing with agents, scouts, Paraag, Kyle, injuries, covid, turf, Joan from accounting, player egos, media, Cohns, fans and social media.

The guy needs a medal for rebuilding the roster he was given to get the post season success not seen for years in a very short time frame. SMH
