I think you should be banned for even making this thread and then blaming Dopeman for it.

Ban yourself for coming into a discussion board and being afraid of discussion.

Just answer the question or GTFO with your crying

I answered it!!!

Dumb f**king thread. How did this thing make 11 pages? We are is crazy season. Just need to stay out of NT and off the socials.
My vote has officially changed. I have always said that I am open to changing my mind when presented with facts, and these facts change my mind. Go to Amazon! Get the f**k off of my team!

No. He's just a great job for the most part. He's had some misses , but some really great talent has been brought to this team in the later rounds. I never really thought we'd get much for Jimmy Anyway. I'm on the side of cut Jimmy and gain the cap space.

the same result will be even if we replace JL as long as KS10 is around.. IF ever KS10 goes back to Denver, I'd like to see JL really run the show w/o having to worry about hurting the HC's feelings when it comes to decisions..

Wait, you'd choose Lynch over Kyle? Not me. Biggest mistake I see Kyle making was sticking with Jimmy.

He had shoulder surgery on his throwing shoulder. How are you not keeping him until he throw again?

As if a poll from which most of us, with the exception of a handful in here, have any clue what it takes to build a multi million $ team in a heavily regulated league whilst dealing with agents, scouts, Paraag, Kyle, injuries, covid, turf, Joan from accounting, player egos, media, Cohns, fans and social media.

The guy needs a medal for rebuilding the roster he was given to get the post season success not seen for years in a very short time frame. SMH

This team has been built on coaching and talent development more than high value aqusition. Look at all the misses he's had in wasted high round picks or the busts he's had in fa in his time here.

Hmmm. That's an interesting point. I'm kind of curious.

Pierre Garcon: Miss
Malcolm Smith: Miss
Marquise Goodwin: Miss
Kyle Juszczyk: HIT
Richard Sherman: HIT
Jet McKinnon: MISS
Weston Richburg: Miss
Jason Verrett: Hit AND Miss? --- I don't re-call spending big money on him. He was great in 2020, but has had injury misfortune.
Kwon Alexander: Miss
Emmanuel Sanders: Hit --- One year rental that I believe was instrumental in getting us to the Super Bowl. And while it's not quantifiable, Deebo Samuel credits Sanders with helping him develop in his rookie year.
Dee Ford: MISS. This one is probably the worst.
DeForest Buckner Trade: Mixed bag. Depends on who you ask here, but ultimately we traded DeFo so that we could keep Armstead, Ward, have money for Kittle's extension, and ended up drafting Kinlaw. This trade looks a lot better if Kinlaw produces this year.

Some of the early misses, IMO, aren't too costly because we overpaid when we were a talent-starved team that no one wanted to go to. We also had the cap room.
Juice was an overpay, but he's a core piece for us. Sherman was great for us. McKinnon's injury woes were a huge miss. Richburg's injury and retirement was a miss, but did his contract hurt us?

Dee Ford's acquisition and contract is the worst of it all.

I also don't remember the contract details for some of them and I know I'm missing some. What else?

Adam Peters is goat. If you're gonna replace Lynch, then it has to be peters

What do you think would be different from now, if Peters was GM. I get the impression that his opinion counts for a lot right now.

It's hard to say. I think we've heard a couple things like Peters championing for Ambry Thomas...
But we really don't know how much his opinion counts behind the scenes because they've said Lynch/Shanahan have roughly equal decision-making power, with Lynch having final say (though I think Lynch said he wouldn't make a huge decision that Shanahan vehemently opposed).

I assume though, the kind of guy that Lynch is, he does take what Adam Peters says into considers.

I think ultimately, if you were to replace Peters with Lynch, we'd still roughly target the same type of players and go the same route for roster construction... But I think a difference would be in the riskier moves. Would Peters have made the Dee Ford and DeForest Buckner trades? Would Peters take players with character or injury concerns? Those things we don't know.

Many of them were brought in to reshape the locker room atmosphere and leadership just as much as they were for their on field performances. In that respect they were all good acquisitions.

You neglected the trades for Tomlinson and Williams, two clear Ws.
Can't believe we are even discussing this 2 months removed from an NFC championship appearance
