The first 49ers in California, at Candlestick, I attended because I live across the country. I was one of the very first people there—several hours before kickoff—at the final game there, and the 5,000 people got a limited edition pendent (or so the ticket people told me). That's probably the one thing I'll always cherish, because of how the game went. Some cholo sitting behind me stole my memorabilia cup that they were giving out that day, but I don't care, I got the little flag. And I got to see Steve and Jerry playing catch right below me. And best of all, I got to watch the sun set on the final game at the place I watched throughout my childhood on tv, and got to hear Lights after an amazing victory.
Everything about that was planned so meticulously. Got the seat that put me about where the TV broadcasts are (with the sun shining on the gold helmets). Costed me a lot, but hey, I don't care. Didn't even bother with a hotel. Stayed as long as I could and slept in the airport.
This was my Mecca, and honestly I rank it in the top five days of my life.

love the cage dline face mask.. i think spurrier had the whimpiest of all. the single bar facemask if i recall. 86 was simply unblockable coming from that side, killed me to see him end things as a raider. but i was happy on the monday night football game when he returned a fumble for a touchdown

Signed Joe M lithograph. Really nice framed piece of art. Dad gave it to me for XMAS 30 years plus ago. Means a lot as he is no longer here.
He lived out of state but was a die hard 9er fan (lived in Bay Area before moving). Nothing better than a call on Sunday or Monday night to talk about the 9er game. Some of my best memories.
But great gift from dad.

I have a complete sheet of season tickets for one of our seats from the 1994 season, and Jerry Rice signed the game ticket that he broke the all time record for TD's. It was my Dad's seat. I also have an EA Sports gold jacket from 1984 in like new condition.
