You and I do not play professional sports. And even if you did, you likely do not now, and if you do...do you need an agent? I assure you, though I am quite daft, no pro team wants me for anything other then cagey hot dog vendor. Maybe you played once, but could not get much farther than say college or semi-pro ball. What the hell was I saying? Ah yes...

For the majority of us, the Deebo Samuel saga, arguably the most insane thing we have seen, and we had Jimmy T as head football coach, seems to be another example of greed, miscommunication, egos run amuck, media meddling, etc, etc. Worse, you feel like all of it, whether you want him to stay or go, is well beyond your ability to influence. The momentum of the situation seem to be inching closer and closer to a resolution that dissolves a quite powerful relationship. You feel then...powerless.

But what if I said, you could do something about it. And though it was likely to fail, you could have a voice in all of this.

Retweet this. Add to it if you like, but only if you are positive. The narrative here does not have to end in the negative. Does it look bad or desperate? Maybe a little, but you did not do anything, nor did I, to cause the situation. All you want to do, what I want to do, what we need to do is resolve it, amicably, respectfully, and in a fashion that leads the 49ers back to the promised land. To be blunt, I am like many of you, I often do not get involved because I do not believe that my voice, on its own, matters. Each voice matters, but when they are in a chorus. They can sing.

So, I offer the above. At least it is better than refreshing the Webzone to see if he has been traded or he came home. It takes seconds to retweet. It takes a few more to add what you feel about it. I agree, all of this seems a bit much to retain someone, but sometimes in life, we have to exert a little more effort to achieve a goal. I am trying. I will fail on my own. But with you? We got a chance and we can have our say. If we fail, we do so as Niners fans...together.

If only this fanbase had the same type of energy to not trade Deebo as they had to not draft Mac Jones. Sadly, a large number of this dumbf**k, fickle fanbase has already turned on Deebo.

That's their problem for hanging on every word spewed by social media. Most of us recognize what the FO has been able to do and have faith in them. I'll personally wait to pass judgment until there is something to pass judgment on.

Me too.
Start tweeting and retweeting
The player has control over what the media is saying over his situation. He has caused this and has all the ability to fix and answer all the rumors by interviewing to set the record straight. Deebo has only added fuel to the fire by going to the media and instigating all of this. The end...

"The sabal palmetto is the official state tree of both Florida and South Carolina."

I did not know this.

Same id rather keep deebo but if we get a significant haul for him I won't be too upset. Besides he'd probably blow out his acl after we give him a phat contract knowing our luck

The fan base had zero effect on who the 49ers drafted. None.

I don't disagree with you. The over the top emotions from fans can be super ridiculous at times. I'll say this though. This fanbase isn't too different from others. If Deebo is still a niner come September. The first time he trucks a db and scores most of those same people won't care anymore about this off-season.

I think some fans may be turned off by Deebo's request to be traded because it came out of nowhere. There was no indication last year that he would hold out or request a trade. He said he enjoyed doing whatever he could to help the team. Then they start to negotiate an extension and this stuff pops up. Fans are getting tired of their favorite players suddenly demanding a trade or a crazy amount of money.

We don't know what the real story is here but obviously something isn't right. It gets frustrating to see a player develop only to leave for whatever reason. One step forward and 2 steps back.
