I kind of like this pick. Lack of power and pass-rush moves is concerning though.

3 sacks!? Those are Tully Banta-Cain numbers.

i think he has quite a bit of pass rushing moves. He does need to add power though especially lower body

Definitely not a Pats fan. Bengals if you had to label me after the moves this FO has made the last two years.
And thankfully the Bengals FO has done the opposite and is going all out to capitalize on a window. Great FA signings and drafted studs on Dax Hill and Cam Taylor Britt who is going to be a star

Cool. So in that case I'll make it easy for you to go spend more time on the Bengals forums.

I'm going to miss Bama.

Don't worry, he will be back under a new name

I like it, he'll grow into his NFL body.

That bend that he has, you can't teach that. He's got the same ability there like Bosa.

Needs to get bigger/stronger, and hopefully stats healthy.

What's his weight?

Looks like a OLB.

252 which is good i think ideally he would want to be at 260-270 though

is that similar to De Ford?

Its going to help for him to play one consistent role. They kept moving him around and changing DC's and as a result his weight was all over the place as he tried to adjust to the demands of whatever they were asking of him.

As a freshman, Jackson played as a defensive end from a four-man rush and had B-gap responsibilities in nickel looks.

As a sophomore, Jackson shed 35 pounds and played as a stand-up outside linebacker in a hybrid 4-2-5 scheme. He rarely saw the inside.

As a junior in 2021, he saw more looks from a 4-technique (across from the offensive tackle) in a 3-4 defense.

Jackson totaled 12½ sacks and 25 tackles for loss in just 26 collegiate games.

I hope he wont be the next ISRAEL IFEANYI because he showed lots of flashes last year... He needs to be more physical though...

I had the kid from SDST ranked higher than JACKSON tho..

Ha I said that 2 hours ago. Ifeayani was a total bust. This guy looks just like him. Size and position.
Long big arms. Maybe will end up the 3rd best pass rusher in the class. John's best second round pick since Deebo 3 years ago. Jackson just looks like a 49ers player. Great pick I love it

Size wise. But Dee had a nasty burst off the LOS. He doesn't.

But he's got that ability to bend like Bosa, so that's a huge plus there.

USC players and the 49ers in recent memory, who has panned out?

Lynch and his Pac 12 love affair

Jackson is bigger and longer. He's 6'3" and played in the 260s most of the time. 34" arms. Dee Ford is 6'2" and played in the 240's in college with 32" arms.

Jackson is also super young, turned 21 a couple of weeks ago. Lots of upside and what the 49ers are going to ask of him are the things that he is best at.
