apparently has a knee injury and will be out for the playoffs

Crap, this reminds me a bit of the Kinlaw knee situation.
Had to go back a ways to find the Drake Jackson thread. I guess his knee is still bad.

HE should be back this year and continue to improve.. it got derailed last year because of 92 and 5.. this year, 14 sacks at the very least if he stays healthy..

Huh? He wasn't looking too good last year. I have no confidence in him making the active roster. His current injury is a blessing for him because which of these DEs is he going to surpass?
How can someone be derailed if they were never on the rails to start?

Maybe two derails means he'll now be on the rails…

Drake and Kinlaw I wonder who made the call to draft both of them? Does Lynch make the defensive player calls and Kyle the offense?

I hate it when people pounce on the front office every time a player they draft doesn't play well whether it's because of injuries or just not enough talent. Sure they miss on some of the picks but they also hit on many more. The Niners under Kyle and Lynch have been good nearly every year since the rebuild. That means they're drafting near the very end of each round so they aren't always going to have a shot at some of the better players. They still managed to build one of the most talented rosters in the league. When you already have a good team you take some chances with those picks. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don't . Even #1 overall picks aren't always successful.

Don't get your panties in a wad. I don't think I pounced on anyone I just asked who drafter them.
The implication was there. 49ers fans b***hing about what the FO does is beyond arrogant. We've been competing for SB's for years and most are still b***hing about this guy, that guy or the other.
He might finish his career with 14 sacks. No way he gets 14 this year, healthy or not.

I think at best I think a good backup. I hope you're right though.
He'll make the team and I hope he can keep developing.

Drake needs to get disciplined in the weight room

Did you actually see the sacks? He never beat his man on any of them.
