I will say, He doesn't seem to burst off the line like you'd expect considering that he dropped a lot of weight. Perhaps he lost too much power from the weight loss, but it is a concern of mine that he doesn't seem twitchy enough and that he also doesn't play with much violence.

I really can't remember seeing him make plays during USC games I saw. That's okay because USC wasn't very good the last few seasons. Hopefully with good coaching and a good diet he can be the edge rusher they need opposite Bosa.

Agreed. It should help that he'll have Bosa opposite him. Expect him to make some big plays this season.

First step may not be elite but from second step on he can accelerate like a beast.

If he can currently see and react to OL hands well, he can most likely develop a lot of pass rushing moves IMO. Hands are hard.

Bulk up and go after the qb is what they wanted out of him. Not much scheming to that.

Said something about how since the FO screwed up this draft he was gonna be a Bengals fan.

Fans on this forum have complained about the FO for decades, and there's a user who actively claims to be a fan of another AFC North team, especially when the 49ers are losing games or making unfavorable FO moves, yet they can stick around? It is what it is I guess

One of the bendiest edge rushers in recent memory. You can't tell me that that jackson is not just as likely to turn into a total edge beast as the number one overall pick so from that perspective this is a pretty high value pick at the second most important position in the league.

Best part is with Hyder, Ebukam and Turray ahead of him at the moment, it takes some of the pressure to produce on day one off of him. We can get some production out of those guys while he gets his feet wet in the rotation and won't likely be required to eat a large percentage of snaps in year one.
