I know nothing about this guy, but i did see a scouting video that really brought up some good points.

It appears an argument could be made that his college coaches screwed him royally. They had him cut weight his Sophomore and JR seasons to be eligible to play, then had him play a tweener DE/OLB role with lots of drop coverage.

It appears you could make a case he never really got a shot outside of his freshman season (normally the hardest season in college to make an impact) to do what he should be doing.....rushing the passer. They also showed multiple examples of his effect on the run game at 280 versus 250. In short the dude was on the ground a TON at 250, getting wiped out of plays. Dude just isnt a linebacker.

Good for us i think, but he really should have changed schools.

It is not out of the question to think the 49ers got a first round talent with out a first round pick.
