In that press conference he sounded emotional and a little nervous. He seems humble and just happy to be here. Great attitude to start your career. Don't let it be too big for you, get out there and just work. It'll all fall in place if he just does that. I'm guessing he's gonna be very coachable and he will succeed. Not a lot of pressure for a pow second round pick. He's got Kocurek (did I spell that right?), Bosa, Armstead and Demeco to learn from. What more could a young guy ask for coming into his first job?

If he can be effective then the whole D-Line will be better.
Last season Ford was a non-factor and the other DE's didn't do much.
If The Drake can put constant pressure I'd be happy - not satisfied but happy.
IMO, the sacks will come to him as he acclimates to the NFL.

Our D-line came alive when Key and Ebukam started to get consistent pressure opposite Bosa. I hope Jackson ends up being better than either.

I think that is the question, will he be better than what we already have or just a rotational guy.

Yeah.. not expecting a lot from him this year. It will just be a learning year for him and he will have an uphill climb for him for playing time not unless he wow the coaches and put it all together fast. We also signed all these vets to add on what we already have on 1 year deals. This front office wants to have the player for a year marinated in the system before they get significant playing time. Not unless you're an all world like Bosa, you learn and work your way up. Hope I'm wrong and he lights it up fast and get tons of snaps from the get go.

The return of Hyder should also help. This year's D-line has potential to be as good as the 2019 version Imo

Agreed, EDGE looks really really good, you have Bosa, Ebukam, Turay, Hyder, Jackson, then Willis and/or Omenihu, and inside I like AA, Kinlaw, & Ridgeway, we'll see who backs up Armstead, Givens or Hurst

Yep, 2021 was really good, I think we're deeper now at the EDGE spot, as I said above you have Hyder, Ebukam, Jackson, Turay, Willis or Omenihu behind Bosa, I like our IDL also, so I'm confident in our front 7, and our CBs(which is a shock for me, as they've been subpar with the likes of Norman & Johnson), Ward will be good(Jimmie & Charvarius too), SS is a concern.
