IMO this is way better. Just fly under the radar and give this Defense even more reason to show why they're the best unit in the league. Rankings are bogus anyway, just gives the talking heads something to argue about week in and week out.

John's gotta add that proven veteran opposite Bosa, would be my guess before they see this DL as #1.

That said, we'll see. Philly's pass rush is not the same historic unit from last year.

I'm looking forward to our OL playing Pittsburgh right out of the gate. Great test to see how far this unit has grown. And likewise for our new pass rush!

Yeah Pittsburgh will be a great test for both lines out of the gate. Hopefully we don't come in sloppy like last season and weather won't be a factor so it can be a proper evaluation.

Im so excited for him this season

Last year because of his college coaches he was a bit underweight he seems to have added bulk which will help him in terms of durability. But when he played last year he really got after the QB. He was after all one of the league leaders in batted balls and he didn't even get much playing time. Especiially with AA Hargrave and Bosa all taking up space i wouldn't be surprised if he isnt talked about as one of the biggest surprise players in national media

Probably because we come out looking like absolute trash almost every game 1 under Shanahan. Only year I remember not doing that was when we played Detroit, but they still almost came back from like a 4 touchdown deficit to nearly win at the end.

Offense was sluggish as hell and Jameis Winston did what he does, the following week at CIN offense played much better

This. I'd rather we not rated as number 1, it puts less pressure to the players and team as a whole but gives them more chips to their shoulders I think. I'm very confident though that this defense will put every team we're playing this season on notice.

Agree

Louis Riddick on ESPN and Schrager on NFL Network are singing the praises and predicting Seattle will win the division.

I can't wait to send them some crow.
