B/c they only like tackles that are tall with huge wingspans. They have a specific type at tackle and they stick to it. McKivitz, MM, Compton, TW, and Moore are all 6'5 and up with super long wingspans. Burford doesn't fit. He was drafted to be a guard. Not sure why he's regressed so much from last year

Has he though ? I remember he was struggling in a lot of reps, and that's why he split reps with Brunskill. The expectation was him taking a leap forward.

Either way, I'm more interested in replacing him and Brendel than McKivitz.

Not saying he's a better fit at RT but Burford has the same wingspan as McKivitz
Burford: 6'4 1/8", 82" wingspan
McKivitz: 6'6 1/8"", 81 5/8" wingspan

Burford needs to be benched, he's getting beat a lot this season.
Brunskill was better than both him and mckivitz and could play either spot... We let him walk for peanuts...

Good point. I should've said why hasn't he progressed

Foerster has his types .
Draft a replacement with the first third. Burford will be solid as a backup with starting experience next year.

I always liked Brunskill and he never complained despite playing pretty much every position on the line besides LG during his tenure. I think they did save money by not paying Brunskill but Burford's lack of progress is very troubling

Jaylon Moore earlier on in his career was playing G, maybe they give him another shot once Trent returns?

What's up with Jesse Davis he's got 72 starts under his belt, lets see what he can do. That would be ideal to have Jaylon Moore at RG, but he's been pretty solid filling in for Trent I'd hate to see Moore go down and no back up.

Agreed. 100% accurate. He will get purdy killed. He is getting beat badly.

Burford has regressed in PP from last season. That was particularly notable in these past three games.

I was sorry to see Brunskill leave. We saved a bit over $1M in cap room by letting him go to Tennessee where he is having a solid year - ranked #22 by PFF. Had the FO had a crystal ball, I'm sure they would have spent the money to keep DB here. Oh well...

They didn't need a crystal ball. They should have valued his versatility if nothing else.

Exactly. Brunskill never got the respect he deserved here. I said before, Foerster has his types. They talked up Burford all offseaaon and he's one of the worst qualifying guards out there.
