"I should have just played within the scheme. I played on instinct. It was my fault."
So stupid 😐

What about the wide open Aiyuk.

Aiyuk and JJ were both open if that block is made. It was the right call just poor execution by Burford and McKivitz.

Alyuk was not open. He was open about 2 seconds afterwards. J J had not finished running his rout. Hence it was the wrong call.
There were far better protections that Kyle could have used to give Purdy more time.
Look at how much time Reid gave Mahomes on the TD in OT.

Routes are awesome when open and if the play is blocked up. The pass pro is trash. Blame to go around starting with Burford and ending with Kyle. What kind of serious team ends their season getting dump trucked by Chris Jones unblocked.

This is the final play of the 49ers OT possession (before the FG).

Sneed gets burned by Aiyuk who was WIDE open heading into the end zone. Jennings was also open (not in picture).
Unfortunately the 49ers O-line dropped the ball and left Chris Jones unblocked!

Making a call with room for error on the most important play of the game is... not optimal. Not eliminating the best player on the defense, removing protection to try to fool who? LBs?, and your backfield pass protector is not CMC who is a stud at it but Kittle who does not get a lot of practice from that spot. Again, play of the game, you are not letting your best players do what they do best.

Haha. Bad take. I think 8 guys were open for a TD there if Brock had time.

lol. If Burford just blocks who's he's supposed to it's a TD. Players need to execute.

There were three wide open receivers for a TD, it was absolutely a great playcall.
