Sounds like he got benched.

He did, Lenoir was making a lot of tackles in the slot yesterday and Jeudy got him on a couple of plays, but not a bad game by Lenoir. Womack got 2 snaps on defense and his biggest impact in the game was forcing a fumble on ST.

Both look promising. Id still add another CB next year however. For one,you should draft one every year anyway lol. But also Ambry Thomas may not work out.

I wonder why he got benched? Anyone notice any bad play(s) from Womack?

I heard on a podcast, Sherman noted the move might have been made more for run support from the slot than coverage. DeMeco Ryans might have been anticipating a heavy run game with Wilson struggling and AA out.

Kid has carried over his nice play from the preseason to the regular season. He looks like a good starting slot corner. Crazy, a couple months ago everyone was worried about our slot corner, interior OL and Safety play and so far we are top 10 in all 3 areas. Hufunga, Womack, Berfurd/Banks all could be very good young staples for this team the next 5+ years

Isn't that incredible!?! This is huge for us. All 3 of those cost of dearly last year and now they are looking like a strength. Huge!!!

I was hoping that Tartt would strike fear in opposing receivers going over the middle but it never quite materialized. Whitner was probably the last safety that was feared. THEY WILL NOW FEAR THE HUFFMEISTER

When he hits them, they will get up dizzy and woozy, like him

LMAO!

Hmm ok. Sounds like a plausible strategic reason. We'll see this coming week what the staff thinks of Womack with Cooper Kupp coming to town.

For sure. It's kind of a cool way to keep developing both too, whether that was by design or not.

We need to develop all of our young CBs(Womack, Lenoir, & Ambry) especially if Moseley doesn't re-sign here.
KS said Lenoir had just been strong in practice so the went with him in the slot. Looks they are are developing except Thomas

Nice. If either or both of Lenior and Ambry develop, it's a good sign that their CB scouting/coaching is better after misses to Witherspoon, TMoore, and a few other day 3 picks.
I wouldn't give up on Ambry yet. He's behind Moseley and CWard so maybe he's doing okay but can't leapfrog those two.

Ambry has been good on special teams. I seen Witherspoon getting torched this weekend. CB position is set for now.
How's Womack been doing? If decent, can we have him on the field now and not wait for him to start like Hufanga

Lenoir is also a young talent, so having the two of them compete is not a bad thing at all.

Nope not bad at all, both were 5th rd picks, so could have found 2 diamonds, I was a big Lenoir fan last year the first 2 weeks he was really good IMO.
I hope someone gets him a 3/4 life size photo of him soaring through the air to get that punt. I know it's a punt lol but that picture would be tiiiiiiight
I wonder if they go back to Womack this game because of his coverage and big play ability.

I'm predicting he'll get the start. Wanna see how he'll do against Kupp when he's in the slot.

Good luck kid. But yes, I want to see that!
