Just shows that team scouts and front offices know a lot more and should be trusted more than Mel Kiper.

For the most part. I mean, I love mock drafts as much as anyone but if an NFL team is selecting Ty Davis-Price in the 3rd, Tyquan Thornton in the 2nd, or not drafting Dohnovan West that should tell you a lot more than Kiper not selecting Davis-Price or Thornton in the first 4 rounds and drafting West in the 2nd round.

I wasn't talking about Kiper. Been years/decades since he could be taken seriously. There are plenty of good analysts around now. Which makes it surprising that he wasn't on radars, that's all.

I didn't mean just Kiper, just using him as an example. I would trust an NFL team "reaching" for a player who doesn't go that high in anyone's mock over the analysts who do the mocks.
the 5th round strikes again.

That goes both ways. Even this regime has examples to prove as much (A few of them are atop NinerTalk right now). The gap these days between analysts and FOs has closed, in terms of reliability. All said, looking like kudos to SL and co for finding a stud.
At first I was intrigued. Now you have my attention.
K'Waun who?

From everything I've read and heard of Womack in camp, and this game tonight, I think the starting nickel CB spot is his to lose.

John Lynch looking really good right now.

What an awesome play by him whipping his head around (which it seems like none of our corners rarely ever do) in time to get the interception. Beautiful. I would love for this guy to be our starting nickel and if not we have an great back up

Oh he'll be the starter; Dennard is not it.
