Top 20 RAS out of the 1000 or so guards since the 80s.
would be cool to see who the other 20 guards are ahead of him.
Steve Hutchinson and Kyle Long are two of his comps athletically.... and then 2 I havent heard of lol

Other then Drake, probably most excited about this kid. I think he can develop into a solid guard if not a pro bowler some day.
Really? I'm curious why. Dude got whooped all week at the Senior Bowl, embarrassing at times

I'd be more worried if he was coming out of Oklahoma or LSU or some other big program. My guess is that a pro level training program and coaching could help him out a lot. Enough to make him a starter or quality backup? I dunno. But there's a lot of opportunity for growth.

True. His RAS is ridiculous and he's a smart kid already with his masters degree. That late in the draft, that's what you throw darts at IMO although my darts would've went another direction lol

Its the old Shanahan approach. Mike would land on OL late in drafts, guys that had good athleticism for their size plus high level football IQ and then coach them up. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't but when it did, he wound up with guys who played in a ton of games despite having been 6th or 7th round picks.

Small school player doing a position change at the senior bowl is a tough ask. They talked about how he improved throughout the week. Take a shot and see what he can do with coaching.

I mean there's good and bad from the SB for everyone
There is definitely a scheme term for what Zion Johnson and Nick Zakelj just did perfectly here, I just don't know it. If you do, educate me. Great job by these guys. pic.twitter.com/cCbXXTI1pz

Like Spencer Burford, newest 49ers offensive lineman Nick Zakelj also has some disrespect in him pic.twitter.com/GgEAZ9QjRn

Rookie 49ers OL Nick Zakelj is fascinated by the analytics aspect of sports. He'd never been to West Coast until yesterday, but has long geeked out over Barry Bonds' 2004 numbers on Baseball Reference (1.422 OPS !).

FWIW Zakelj believes Bonds had a Hall of Fame resume pre-2000
