He now required surgery on his knee and is expected to miss half of the 2024 season, a blow to the depth along the defensive line in San Francisco. Kalia was having a strong camp and parlayed that success into a sack and two tackles for loss in the team's first preseason game Saturday.

Right? Sixth round guy that's flashed. Unfortunately, he's just injury prone at this point. Spent year 1 as a redshirt due to injury, in and out of the lineup last year, and now this. He's literally in a contract year next year and we've hardly seen him.

What about bringing ridgeway back? Knows the system and did well against the run here
