Doesnt read as triggered. More like let's wait and get a bigger sample. I would agree.

Been down this path with Kap and Jimmy. Need larger samples. Stuff Brock succeeded at was definitely more repeatable since it wasn't based on improv but still demands a larger sample.

Cautiously optimistic.

He said that he would lose his job if he didn't inrove and correct deficiencies.
every single player would lose their depth spot/job if they didn't improve or correct deficiencies.. lol what kind of post is this

nothing in life is guaranteed and nothing stays the same

If you follow the 49ers.. we've gotten excited about Alex Smith, Shaun Hill, Kaep, Mullens, Jimmy G and now Purdy.

I'm just saying the odds are not in favor of just picking up where we left off.. and Purdy coming off major surgery to boot. If Purdy wasn't injured i would feel better.

But right now, i just see the QB position as a big ?

The only one I was excited about was Kap, Jimmy & Purdy. I personally never thought any of the rest were capable of being elite.

Well Purdy has played elite throughout his 6 games in the regular season and if not elite in the playoffs, very damn good (several rookie records). So in my opinion, he's the only one that has shown anything like that on the roster.

im tired of mediocre QBs and above average qb play on our guys best days. I want elite and nothing else. Keep looking until we do.

He said Purdy was elite in the regular season, which is 100% true.

you guys are using that term a little too loosely now days lol
He only ran an offense scoring over 30 ppg, and he's only undefeated in games he could throw.

His poise only reminds Ronnie Lott of Joe Montana, and his playmaking only makes Steve Young mention Patrick Mahomes.

Nothing elite there guys

Elite, by definition must be sustained. Stidham looked elite against our defense last year. Does that make him elite?

Nobody said he is elite, you'd have to be Andrew Luck or something for anyone to consider you elite after a year.

But when respected football minds say he looks like Montana and Mahomes while he's leading the league in scoring, I'd say he played elite

Statistically he was top 5 in the league in just about every major/meaningful catagory (in his 5-6 game stretch) and had the offense operating as a top offense in the league - 33Ppg. That's elite. Not saying he can't improve or that he will keep it up.

im also not saying he is already elite. I'm saying he played at an elite level and I'd like to see if he can keep it up. In order to become an elite player, it requires consistency. It's one of the major reasons I'm eager to see him continue playing.

It's another reason why Idc to see anymore of Lance, unless Purdy is injured, because he's doing what we hoped Lance would. The only question is - can he continue it or was it a fluke?

lol it is a big question mark.. just cause he's not elite currently, doesn't make what he did last year less of a great time

he was great at running the offense. he wasn't setting the world on fire and seemed to slow down towards the end of the season,

not sure why you added that last question.. you are pretty sure on how you feel.

i've just seen enough football to not count my chickens before they hatch
