Imaging trying to spin the notion that people here were excited for Alex after his 1 TD and 11 Int rookie season.

here is a link to an interview that Brock just did discussing his rehab etc. i haven't finished it but wanted to post it for all to check out as I'm listening to it.

Love this kid man. Ready to start refining that footwork immediately. Thanks for posting

He has a great head on his shoulders and perspective. Couldn't be happier with him. Super excited for him. He's watching film, studying formations, footwork/timing.
"you feel pressure since team essentially said it's your job
to lose, any pressure from that?"

"no, sir". Lol love it

so awesome to hear. Love how he emphasized his fundamentals and footwork in the off season.

Except I never mentioned anything about levels. Not sure where that even came from.

LOL at your white knighting to defend a comment about how Smith, Hill and Davis all generated excitement like Brock.

You're probably new to the 49ers.

Bro, you referenced how excited the fan base was for Alex Smith, Nate Davis and Shaun Hill in the Brock thread in response to praise for Brock just before you called someone obnoxious for saying they thought Brock's play was elite.

I didn't bring levels to this like you still are. I just said people were excited

There was definitely excitement/optimism. I personally never felt like they were "him", If that makes sense. If anything, it tells the story of how starved we were for decent qb play. Lmao

No one was excited after these guys' Rookie years. Why did you mention it in reference to Purdy.
You also referred to Brock as a flash in the pan...
flash in the pan
phrase of flash
a thing or person whose sudden but brief success is not repeated or repeatable.

I honestly think the reason why super athletic QBs aren't great passers, and they're usually African-Americans, are cause their coaches in highschool and college don't hone their passing skills the same as they do non athletic guys who have to rely on passing. They're just depending on them running and throwing wide open passes because teams are hesitant of the player running. That doesn't work as well in the pros unless you're a super freak like Lamar, and even then that has its limitations.

these young super athletic QBs growing up need to tell these coaches no, hone their passing. That way they're TRUE dual threats.

i assess a qb by saying "if I don't run him at all, like a traditional qb, can he stand in the pocket and pass the ball properly?" If not, I don't want them. Because the run stuff will eventually fade and/or wear them down. They need to get better coaching like the non athletic guys do so they're super QBs.

historically, most super athletic QBs struggle to get even 60% completion. That's bad and it's a Trend for a reason. It'll eventually change but I believe that's a huge problem with them coming into the pros.

has to do with fast twitch muscles, not good for throwing a football (mostly)... there has to be some fluidity in the delivery and release to be able to make all the throws and fast twitch muscles don't do this well

Why would he be referencing the excitement of Jimmy and Shaun rookie years when they weren't with the 9ers?

The point you aren't getting is he's speaking of the optimism of each based on small samples.
