Watched all the preseason games and he just seemed like he made quick decisions and was accurate albeit against 3rd stringers but think he could be just as solid vs 1st stringers and be at least as good as Jimmy." My brother was like alright then hope you're right.

So I was never down on Brock he played great amd I was right about him being at least as good as Jimmy since he was clearly better from the jump. Still want to see Trey as I think he could be just as dominant and harder to contain with his physical abilities and I think his leadership and intangibles are there just like Brock. So I want to see him play as I think we will win with him just like we won with Brock. Question is how good will he be when we're winning games? I have no idea but I wanna know. If he's not projecting to be at least as good as Brock by Week 8 then pull him if Brock is literally 100% and ready to go and least we'll have a better idea about Trey's abilities or lack thereof and can move on with more known information. I hope he plays so well he can't be pulled for Brock but if he doesn't great we'll.still win games and have Brock and he can come out and ball. Win win

Stop making sense; this stuff is hard to comprehend for some

No. Lol you saw what you wanted to see.

i saw your boy Lance drop 10 on the worst team in football this year.. and lose. I also saw your boy drop 10 on the cards. Lol his best game is against one of the other worst team in football in 2021.

don't throw stones when you live in a glass house.

looks like you saw what you wanted to see as well.

What? Lmao are you serious? How did I make anything up? It's all facts. Literally exactly what happened. Lmaooo

10 points in two out of three start. 14 ppg as an offense in all three starts. Bears had the worst record in football this year? Texans were 4-13?

but putting up 19 against a top defense in a divisional playoff game isn't impressive. Lmao.. just.. lmao

Just have to laugh at these guys that try to knock the Cowboys game. I know he earned a lot of respect from Kyle and his teammates for that performance

I find it hilarious when they try to use things coaches/front office say - like you have to understand the position they're in. I only believe them when someone actually plays well and they dump praise on that player, any player.

for example: when Kyle and John/demeco/d players gush about how well Purdy has played, how awesome he is in practice and the locker room etc. you know they mean that stuff cause they choose to start listing things and expressing how they actually felt, not generic things.

but when Kyle/John says thing about a player that hasn't really performed or had a chance to, like "I think Lance would of had a hell of a season". I find this to be generic responses and what else are they suppose to say? Lol

not that I think they're lying but I don't think it's their honest complete answer. What is He supposed to say "I think Lance would of really continued to struggle but we woukd of expected him to start to figure it out"? You can't just publicly out down your guys. Lmao
he said similar stuff about jimmy but you could still tell he was frustrated with him.

or when Lance said "I don't want anything given to me. I want to compete". Of course he will say that. Lmao what is he supposed to say "I can't believe I have to compete for a starting job in the NFL"? Lmao not saying it isn't true but also doesn't mean he isn't annoyed/disappointed by the situation.

players/coaches/front office are told what they can and can't say publicly - or shouldn't. Just listen to what the ravens are saying about Lamar. Lol when obviously there is a ton of friction. Not a negative word about anything.
Players are especially coached up on this by their agent and coaches.

once again, I'm not saying anyone is lying, but those type of comments you have to take with a grain of salt. There's always something else they want to say or can't say.

Yea I just look at their actions and if the words line up. Kyle can say he thinks Trey would play like Brock, but if he has him competing with Darnold we know that's not true lol

Since they came out and said he is the starter proves 1 of 2 things.
either:
1. Kyle doesn't believe Lance has the ability to play at a higher level than Purdy (at least here)
2. Kyle doesn't believe Lance has the ability to play at the level Purdy did.

If Kyle thought Lance was going to eventually breakthrough and be a star, he would at least say "they'll duke it out". Not "Purdy is the starter when healthy but Lance has a chance to regain it" - a super generic answer.

It's obvious who their guy is. Of course Trey has the chance to regain it, but if Kyle honestly thought Trey had a real shot, he'd probably be favoring Trey right now since he will be there all offseason and will be healthy for week 1. Instead he's excited to see what Darnold has lmao

Expecting every game to be a shootout is foolish. Especially, in the playoffs. The main goal is to survive and move on. Kyle has said that that games are called differently. Tom Brady (arguably ) the best QB ever, won a super bowl scoring only 13 pts.

Tankle said It well, "They just want Lance to work out so bad that they're willing to diminish anything and everything that could be an obstacle for him. lol it's very odd. I honestly don't know how anyone isn't drooling over what Purdy did for us last season. Absolutely incredible"

Before Brady retired I saw dudes s**tting on him and saying they'd rather role with Trey. s**tting on the f**king goat for Trey Lance.

I knew at that moment we were in for a long offseason lol

If Dak wasn't Dak and our D wasn't so good we'd be sent home with 19 points and the narrative completely different. Respect would be for not making mistakes but criticism also for not scoring enough to win the game.

Yeah it's okay to give endless amount of praise. How dare you criticize anything though. Brock overall did not play well vs Dallas. It's okay he's a rookie, not some prime pro-bowler. There's development that needs to be done with him all the same…some fans want to just skip all that.
Brock backed up my stance on his injury. There's no real timeline at this point (just goals). They aren't gonna have a better understanding on length until his cleared to throw.

Nobody cares about that. You act like Joe and Tom scored 30+ every playoff game. We just saw Tom win a SB scoring 13 points.

What you should be looking for is how he conducts himself. He was in a bloodbath playoff game. Top 2 defenses dvoa playing at the top of their game.

Brock was never shaken. The moment never looked too big. He just stayed the course, and by the 4th quarter you could tell we had their souls. We had wore them down. The team with the vet QB was the team that folded.

Not every game is some high scoring affair. What's amazing is a rookie QB kept it together, and by the end of the game wore down a top defense. I'm telling you right now Kyle and John were blown away, as was I.

I think Trey Lance will have a much shorter leash than week 8 I can tell you that.

100% agree with you, its how he conducts himself you're absolutely correct. Lets not forget and how this is overlooked by a lot is that he was a rookie 7th round pick last season. A lot of NFL head coaches and ex-NFL HC's couldn't believe how poised Brock Purdy was last season, (and I hate to bring this up) but if it were Trey Lance who won, we would be talking about how he was 19/29 214 yards with a 65% cmp/pct.
