I'd most likely watch the first few games and see how it goes. I didn't watch a single game in the tomsula or Kelly yeaes. Well I watched a few of Kelly and said it was a waste of my time. Lol I don't support a team if they're not taking serious trying to win.

Brock gives us the most hope weve had at qb since 2013. Hopefully are first probowler since 02.

Since 2013? I get that this forum hates Jimmy G but 2019 Jimmy G was much better than Kaepernick ever was.

Hopefully Purdy puts this Alex Smith/Kaepernick/Jimmy stuff to bed and we can all conclude he's our best QB in 20+ years.

Yeah. I was actually super amped for 2018 and then jimmy sucked and then got hurt. Lmao that hurt me deep

but yeah, I was excited for 2019. The rest of the seasons I was optimistic but kinda realized Jimmy wasn't going to become what I had hoped. Especially once 2020 started. I'm a fan of jimmy and think he's a really good qb but I thought he would become elite.

Jimmy is a top 10-ish QB in my opinion. His mechanics on the long ball are questionable, and he's not going to extend plays the way Patrick or Brock can. He's immobile and in Kyle's system that's a detriment - specially with Kyle's bread and butter naked QB boot passes, and it's variations. An immobile QB like Jimmy just limits Kyle's offense - enough to not enable Kyle's offense to get to 100%. Tha'ts enough to knock Kyle's offense off from Superbowl Caliber level in my opinion.

Brock has quicker feet, hence better mechanics, and I daresay Brock has Brees-like accuracy. It's insane that he has (as a rookie) a 13-4 TD/Int ratio. Just INSANE! Hence Purdy has better long ball accuracy and is elite in Kyle's short passing and naked QB boot system. It's like Kyle prayed to God to give him the perfect QB for his system and God said, since you've had so much problems with the QB, I'll be merciful this time and give you the *perfect* QB for you. So all the injuries to Kyle's QBs were just God's blessing in disguise.

He does certain things at an elite level but because he has limitations with his he attacks the field and his deep ball, it stagnated the team. I really like him though and thought he was a great teammate and tough guy. It's unfortunate that he gets injured as much as he does.

Purdy, to me, is Jimmy but with a better football mind, aggressiveness, accuracy overall, mobility, and stone cold mentally reliable in the tough situations (so far).

im really hoping this is the start to a great 15 year run with Kyle where our team has the next Montana/Brady type of dominant run.

Agree, about Jimmy and Injuries, that's what drove ShanaLynch to fork over 3 first rounders for Trey. Then they get a player that's injured for two straight years. Trey's durability is as bad or WORSE than Jimmy based on just the games missed and his delayed development because of said injuries. Hopefully Trey's injury issues are behind him, but that's a hope, not a guarantee.

That's also my biggest worry about Brock is that he has been injured. But he's played through his injuries and has been much more healthy relative to Trey, that's one big reason Brock is QB1 - Health. I want ShanaLynch to focus on the OLine next year the way Andy Reid does on his super bowl off years. It's always one of Andy's priorities - and as a former OLineman - he knows the importance of the O and D Lines. John Madden has one of the highest (if not the highest) win/loss rate as a coach in the NFL still today, and I think one reason is because he was just a stud in developing his O and D Lines.

90s are starting to feel like way too long ago. I remember not even worrying if we would win the SB, when in them, of course we would. Those were the days lol. Ravens loss was gutting..the KC loss was infuriating. Let's get us a SIX, with six-shooter Purdy..pew pew lol

Yeah. I'd like to see us grab a tackle in the first round this year, if it's there. We allocate almost all of our first 2 round picks to the d line and only one to the o line. There is just a shortage of quality o linemen in the nfl In general (hence McG gettin overpaid). It's just a tough spot. I like our starters but the depth is what is worrisome.

Im kinda hoping we trade for a quality o lineman for depth here at cutdowns.
