That's the part of Brock that annoyed the hell out of me. He pretty much pissed on my 30 years of watching football, thought I knew the MO of what it takes for a guy to play qb in the NFL. The grind, learning, the experience needed. Brock pissed on it the day he came into the Miami game. Hate him for that

I think its messed up that people just write off what he did because he played a lot in college. I think that helped but what he did was special and how well he played.

To be fair, i thought he was a wasted pick when we drafted him cause the odds of a 7th round qb making the team was so slim. boy was i wrong lol

Its how I know he is good. When he came in I proclaimed he would be crap and our season was F'd. I too have watched for over 30 years. My wife knows two things about the NFL..jack and s**t. She said he would "try hard and be great."

We all know how he then performed.

The universe is just f**king with me now.

Brock is proof that scouts and front offices have swung the pendulum way too far towards skills/outliers from baseline experience. League needs to value snaps / experience again. It's not everything, but it does reveal some solid ability and steadiness.

Brock improved his skillset after his senior season. Had he not improved his arm like he did he'd be Nick Mullens with better processing.

Brock just seems so in control and confident out there. It's beautiful. I never even felt this confident when Jimmy was here.

The crazy part is, he DID the grind, the learning, the experience, in college and before he was drafted. He just did it before we became aware of him.

The guy has a work ethic and focus unlike almost any other player I have seen come into this league. He just had an NFL-mind before he joined the NFL. The level of tech work he did was groundbreaking for NFL QBs.
