Such a dumb q..I was embarrassed for them..I am like..I never took journalism or anything but I think I could ask better qs than that 💩

That final question to Shanahan that didn't make the transcript. I went back and transcribed it for our enjoyment:

Q: My question was last week Trey had that game winning opportunity you had him down the ball and kick the field goal. Do you think that was a missed opportunity?

KS: What's that?

Q: Last week when Trey was on that last drive and then you had him down the ball for the field goal set up instead of going in for the touchdown, do you think that was a missed opportunity?

KS: Missed opportunity for what?

Q: To evaluate what you think he would do in that situation.

KS: No, we evaluate him every day. I should have done that for you, but... no, we were good.

At Kyle saying the only reason to do that would have been to satiate the media.

Even reporters have this weird inclination that we're supposed to feel sympathetic toward Lance.

Doesn't make sense.

I just don't think he got screwed over, at all. I think just uncontrollable things happened and it derailed everything, I also didn't think he would ever live up to it . He made millions, had chances and got injured, then someone better came along. Happens all the time. He's still in the league, still making millions - and not getting hit. Lol

For some reason a lot of people, and reporters, think that you can't evaluate in practice. Lol they think stats are all that matters and that just isn't true. It's why it's ridiculous to look at treys stats this pre season to think he played well, they're deceiving. They evaluate him in practice in time of situations - have been for three years. Sitting in meetings with him, answering his questions, telling him how to do stuff, how to fix what he's doing wrong, what they want him to do.

Honestly, how many times do you need to tell a guy to be more aggressive with the ball after three years of it?

brock and Kyle are just made for each other. Match made in heaven. Goin to be awesome

That's right.
At least they admit we got lucky. Lol

"We got lucky on Brock [Purdy], but sure that set back our team," Lynch admitted after Friday's preseason finale against the Los Angeles Chargers. "It would've been nice to have those picks and all that, so we do own that. And fortunately, we still have a really good football team that I think has a legitimate shot. We're focused on game one, but we have a championship-level roster."

If I needed one phrase to describe the Shanahan-Purdy relationship as it seems from the outside I'd call it "No Reservations". Shanahan just seems freed from all his previous ways he held back with Jimmy and Trey. Now, maybe that's deceptive due to the sample size as I'm sure there's some plays he's not ready to call with Purdy yet, but it's easily the most comfortable Shanahan has looked as a playcaller since Ryan in 2016.

Still early, but yes things are looking very optimistic

This is exactly it, people talk about limited games but they see him everyday, review film with him everyday, do retrospectives everyday. They know but we don't because we are not on the inside.

It really doesn't take that long to figure out if a guy can do it or not. I mean they've been with him for three years. He may be a late bloomer but I think it's pretty clear he isn't anywhere near ready to be a starter or a backup.
Brock's value: Purdy deeds, done dirt cheap

Love it. It's insane how he's probably the best deal in nfl history, if he wins a super bowl. Only one cheaper is probably Russ Wilson in his rookie deal when he won the chip.

i may be being too optimistic but I feel like when it's time to reup Purdy, he will take a slight discount to keep the team together too. I don't see him asking for $70M+ (probably where the market will be in 2 years

Yeah, I have no problem with it. I think the draft is partially luck anyways, luck is more in football than just about any sport, IMO. You need luck on your side to win a super bowl.
PFF rated Brock as the lowest graded qb in the game… that's how you know a bunch of numb nuts are putting that score together. Lmao clowns
