This is exactly it, people talk about limited games but they see him everyday, review film with him everyday, do retrospectives everyday. They know but we don't because we are not on the inside.
It really doesn't take that long to figure out if a guy can do it or not. I mean they've been with him for three years. He may be a late bloomer but I think it's pretty clear he isn't anywhere near ready to be a starter or a backup.
If they thought he could be "Aaron Rodgers" like some mentioned in another thread then they don't bump him to three and ship him out after two full seasons. They know.. we don't but they do. Their eyes aren't closed during everyday except for game time lol.
I said Aaron Rodgers… really… and they said… he has a strong arm lol.
In the post game interview, clearly Kyle wanted to keep him, if Trey was willing to stay. But we all know the cap prevents any team from accumulating talent. They also know it will take multiple years to develop him - even if they give Trey all the QB1 reps. Both John and Kyle were bummed having to let Trey go, it was clear in the post game interviews. They know how good a QB he can be - given a couple of years down the line. But, as John says, they got *lucky* with Brock. B🐔B, in my opinion, if you looked at the charger game is the generational talent that is
actually worth three first round picks.
It's hard to believe he's only a 2nd year player the way he played last night.
