Good morning David.

Reported for personal attack.

I read all of his posts in David Lombardis voice. Lmao cracks me up Everytime.
Take Drew Brees brain, Mahomes legs, Favre's arms, and John Harbaugh's face and you got Brock Purdy!

Agree 💯%, THL is the Lombardi of Lombardis!

"he's obsessed with winning". Love it - you can tell when he plays. He wants to win every snap, every drive. He just brings that energy and confidence to win every down.

The Garcia comp also includes the underdog element. Anyway, I see Brees' name come up a lot, maybe because they are both shortish QBs, but Brock is so much more nimble than Brees ever was.

I'm half and half with Garcia. I definitely can see the Garcia mobility aspect of it. Just my gut and my recollection -- but Purdy is a lot bigger and stronger than Garcia. I think Purdy has a stronger and more accurate arm and a much much much better processor. I think, to me, Purdy's arm and accuracy more closely matches Brees -- and add to that Brees processor and Brock's processor - how fast they are - to me are similar. But agree, Purdy is at the Garcia level of mobility and outclasses Brees in that dimension.

I think Trey can see how good Purdy is compared to himself, and that's probably one factor in Trey wanting to leave for (so called) greener pastures. If Brock can keep healthy, he'll be playing for the 49ers for a very long time. Trey can see that he's so far behind Brock, and even if he does catch up, Brock will - most likely - continue to improve and so why bother fighting a losing battle and so he goes to Dallas and battle an aging Dak. It's just unfortunate that Trey's going into a chaotic situation with Jerrah and McCarthy. I can see Trey's Dallas situation going from bad to worse in a hurry.

lmao too accurate on our situation.

I see Brock as a mobile Drew Brees.

And yep. Trey probably believed he has a much better chance to compete against Dak Than Brock.

I think it's tough to be on a team that you've been demoted from QB1 to QB3, I think he probably felt embarrassed and I can't fault him for that, I think anyone would feel that way.

i think he just wanted a clean slate and chance to go elsewhere without the history. I do think he made a mistake though, I think he should of stayed here this year or asked the team to not send him to Dallas, I don't think it's a good situation for him. It's almost identical to his situation here but with less competent ownership/front office.
I was orignally on Trey Lance when we first traded up to 3. I moved over to Fields before the draft. Immediately switched back to Trey when we picked him. I thought he was a good kid. Seemed like he had the work ethic and personality that could lead our team. No interceptions. Raw, but we had Garropolo so that wasn't such a big deal. I've come to the conclusion that letting him go has nothing to do with who he is or what he has the chance to become. It's all about Brock. Holding on to Trey tells Brock we don't believe in him enough to give up on Trey. Regardless of where you fall with Lance, he will continue to be a distraction and can undermine Purdy's confidence. So it was time to show the world that the 49ers were commiting to a QB.

Now, Brock Purdy. He seems to have this rythm that just works with our set of playmakers. Hitting them in stride, being on the same page, timing. His experience allows hime to move off of reads pretty quickly and he doesn't seem to fall for the defenses tricks at a high rate. He has pretty good awareness of where the bodies are and how to slip out of trouble. I think a trait that can really make him special as our QB, is his ability throw on the run and off platform. He seems to be able to throw strikes off of one foot and they are pretty accurate. The sample size says that we don't know if he can sustain the level of play he put on film last year. You can hope that he has a high floor considering his experience in college, but this remains to be seen. Some of his better traits may get him into trouble long term. You can't always know where everyone is, his spinning around and squeezing the play out could lead to more injuries and fumbles. He has a bit of a gunslinger mentality and over time the law of averages may catch up to him. He's not a crazy athlete and we don't know how long he can go and when he falls off it could be a cliff like Manning. As a 49er fan all we can do is be happy and root for the guy. He's put nothing be good things on tape and regardles of the twists and turns it's his time in San Francisco. The Brock Purdy era begins now.

Lol. This can be a thing, finding situations analogous to whiffing on Trey and hitting on Brock.

It's like shooting a 3 pointer and banking it in. No one plans that, but it works.
Y'all talking about Drew Brees like he was a stiff or something.

I'm reminded of what Walsh said of Garcia when they ask him why he had brought Garcia into the Niners camp from the CFL. Walsh said that he remembered Garcia from college playing against Walsh's college team. He thought Garcia almost single handedly beat Walsh's better team in that game. I see the same thing in Brock in those college highlight/lowlights. He knows he was going against a better college team, but that doesn't mean he's gonna lay down. The comparison is very apt to Garcia in that regard. I very sure if Walsh sees Brock he would see another Garcia too. We see him running around like a chicken. The scouts were probably thinking, this guy can't stay still long enough to make a decent throw, and a turnover machine lol

Here's one article. I'm sure there are more.

I think most posters on here just think of him in his later years, he was mobile when he was younger, for sure. We'll much more mobile than he was in his later years, never s Burner but could move around well.
