The easiest way to guess what the play was intended for is watch the passing lanes vs the flat options and when helmet stripes turn back to the QB.
Every once in a while you see what appears to be a flat hot rout, and then helmets start to turn at 5....I have never seen 7 outside of Hail Marys...and 98% of time you see options go live at 3.
Did he post a video of the 7? I must have missed it live.... or maybe it was that weird NFL network game that kept bouncing around....
Yea he covered the play in the vid. @10:42 if you want to single it out.
To me, I think it's cool how on even the good plays - there are a lot of things he can improve upon. He will just get better and better.
Yes. The people who said Brock is hitting the ceiling already or close to hit the ceiling don't know what they are talking about. There are like an unlimited number of things Brock can improve on.

just saw it...that was plain as day 7 with no hot read even..... so I stand corrected.....

I feel like he was throwing that screen away, just into the open space where no one was at. Maybe it's risking to throw away a ball like that, but I chalk it up to him just having that much vision.
Yeah, that one didn't bother me. Interesting weird back step he kept doing though. I wonder what's that about, if it's even an issue.
I think he does it to buy some space for the throw.

He was I think as well, but I thought the same thing JTO did… put it into the ground next the TE. Just safer. Oh well, minor gripe as far as I'm concerned. He was really good at killing bad plays, especially for a rookie.
more anti-JG stuff, for the he's JG 2.0 crowd. I like JG, but he sucked at that hard.
I think I saw some crazy statistic that jimmy threw the ball away more last year than like the lasr 4-5 years combined lol

Wait, i havent seen the video, did he say brock wasn't throwing that intended screen pass away? I thought it was pretty obvious that's what he did
I believe he was saying you throw it at the feet of the screen recipient, not out there in space where a good defender may go snag it.

I think JTO is wrong at 6:40. The defense gave initial look of 6 rushers, 2 extras on the left side. JTO said Brock should look to the left-- hot side ( 2 extra rushers) and try to throw left. But those guys bail in coverage at the snap. And Brock did see ir. As he snap the ball, his head angled left, then he threw to the right after the 2 extra rushers went into coverage. Kinda weird JTO kept harping on something so obvious.

Well, as Kyle has said, "It's not the f-----ing West Coast Offense."

Sounded like he wasn't sure but thought Brock wasn't looking left initially.
Like you I thought it was possible he saw the LB bail off the snap, but that was lightning quick reaction if so. JTO also left room for him being 'that good' lol. Let's hope.

Brock scanned the line from left before the snap. At 7:00 to 7:10 you can see one of the 2 extra rushers bail right in front of Brock. He did see what was happening. Brock wasn't breaking down film in the pocket. He was playing football lol

When they bail post snap, the stripe on his helmet is mid-right like JTO mentioned. Like I said, I think he may have seen it anyway, and something else pre-snap could have indicated a bluff (like safety depth possibly). It's definitely not definitive either way.

Didn't see your edit. A critical part of playing football at QB is pre-snap recognition!
