He was historically amazing by.....putting up the same numbers last year as Jimmy Garoppolo? The two basically had the same stats. The credit should go to Shannahan for building this plug and play offense.

Did you make my point? Purdy couldn't make throws over 20 yards in that game. Most of his completions were under 10 yards.

He couldn't make them? More like he didn't really attempt them. Was that because Brock or because of the gameplan? According to the chart he was 50% on them which is actually a good % for deep ball passing.

LOL. 20 yards are deep passes now? We have the best skill players by far in the NFL and we're somehow content with 5 yard dink and dunks. I have hope that Purdy can extend his game but if he can't, this is worrisome for our Super Bowl odds.

For as long as I can remember anything 20 yards are over is charted as a deep pass. Have you been living under a rock?

Lol at anyone who thinks Purdy didn't play a good game against Dallas. That was a slug fest typical playoff game against two heavyweights, aka super bowl contenders.

Dallas had a top two defense per DVOA and all kinds of other stats, not only that - but they have a very fast and athletic defense that does a great job matching up with us.

obviously Purdy wasn't perfect but he was incredible for a rookie. Only rookie who's never thrown an interception in his first playoff run and the most pass attempts for any QB ever to begin playoff games to throw as many passes as he did and not throw a pick.

couple that with the fact that he didn't even have 1 turnover worthy plan in the playoffs…. Yet some are worried about int in practice. Give me a break. Lol

Cowboys defense played very well and matchup with us very well. Kudos to them but brock did enough to beat them.

Do you know I can check-down every time and I won't throw INTs too? That doesn't win playoff games against elite QBs like Mahomes and Rodgers.

As you can see from the chart, he had one pass that went beyond 20 yards. Half of his completions were 5 yards or under.

No. According to that chart he threw 2 passes beyond 20 yards. 1 was complete and 1 was incomplete.
Also, like I stated in an earlier post. That chart is missing 5 of his 29 passes.
Purdy completed 4 deep balls and lit that Seattle secondary up the week before. Which makes me believe that DAL game planned to take that away.

I don't think so unless they were incompletions. There are 19 green bubbles with 1 that is overlapped, which was....another check down pass.

Still missing from the chart whether they were incompletions or not. So how reliable is that chart if its missing information?

On another note. Have you ever heard the term "take what the defense gives you"?

The Cowboys played a 4-3 defense and left the edges open. Purdy didn't hit any deep or intermediate pass outside the numbers.

95%, the game plan. Kyle runs this b***h:

Garoppolo said. "While I was there, Kyle was gonna call the plays for you. You've just got to go up there and execute them to the best of your ability.

Those weren't deep balls. Those were mainly short passes that turned into long YAC due to our Pro Bowl playmakers.

Apparently almost plug and play
