Jimmy G, the QB you all wanted gone, had the same numbers as Purdy last year (16 TD, 4 INTs). This is a system that Kyle has created and he deserves the credit, not any one QB.

Lets just forget that purdy matched if not played better than a vet who was having the best stretch of qb play in his career lol

I'll tell you to watch the games some time so you can see for yourself.

You created this account when Trey got traded to post this? LOL

I went back and looked at all his highlighted throws for 2022. Many were dinks and dunks, many were throws to wide open receivers, a few were tight window throws into the end zone and one was an amazing scramble play that almost turned into a TD but the receiver dropped it.

Darnold's pass to Ronnie Bell in the Raiders game and his pass to Chris Conley in the Broncos game were better than any pass that Purdy (or Jimmy G for that matter) has ever thrown. Those are elite level throws that Purdy has yet to make. Not many QBs in the NFL can make those throws.

The Conley pass we are lucky was even caught. It was a perfect pass but historically the niners receivers just drop those.

If he doesn't catch it the narrative just changes from perfect pass to overthrown.

How many tight window passes has Brock had that were dropped or slightly behind where the "NFL receiver" couldn't make an "NFL catch"

Imo if they can get their full hands on it it should be caught.

I don't get it, was that suppose to be a knock on Purdy or something?? Those numbers are the same, but with Purdy starting the 49ers put up 10-15 points more a game.

Nice try though.
What's interesting is that his stats in some games were held back, like against the Bucs - it was over at halftime essentially and we were just trying to run the clock out.

I think it was the cards game when he hit kittle at the end of the game on the 1 yard line but we just ran out time. There were a lot of blowouts down that stretch cause we were balling so much.

man I can't wait for the season to start. I'm so excited to see how Brock does and how good this team can be.
in any of the multiverses, in no way did Jimmy and Brock play at the same level

We also could have scored another TD vs DAL but Elijah Mitchell and Kyle opting to milk clock. Purdy was putting up points!

The offense moved really really well with Brock at the helm a majority of the time. Brock had some nerves in the beginning of each playoff game but shook them off and got cookin.

i haven't seen anything about his game that makes me question if he can be as franchise qb for a long time. Just need to keep him healthy.

Purdy also threw his 13 TDs in the equivalent of 6 full games while Jimmy threw his 16 TDs in the equivalent of 10 full games. That's Purdy with a 2.1 TD/game average while Jimmy had a 1.6 TD/Game average. Even if you enlarge the sample size to include the two full playoff games for Purdy that's 16 TDs over 8 games, for a still superior 2 TD/Game average.

Oh yeah, one of Purdy's 4 INTs was in garbage time against the Chiefs, not in one of his full games.

Yeah, during Brock's 7-8 game stretch - he he over a 4-1 TD-int ratio. Crazy

Is it okay to use the "It was a monsoon out there" or "Purdy beat an important team or we wouldn't have made it to the playoffs"card yet???

lol if that floats your boat, weathersexual.

All jokes aside - there are always excuses for things but at the end day, it comes down to if the player got it done or not. The best typically find a way to overcome issues and make it happen.

Mr Att, you gotta look at 2017 JG vs 2022 Brock
we all know if BPs contract was up, he is getting paid for days.
What have you done for me lately, NFL.

Disclaimer, this is not a knock on either QB. I am keeping with QB fairness rules. No QBs were hurt, in the making of this post. I like all these guys, particularly, if they can play, and help the 49ers
So a couple months ago, the team decided that Brock would throw about 700 times a week (the pitch count).

he hasn't been throwing much this week cause they want to ramp down for a little to give his arm rest. That's why he is throwing less in practice.
