Purdy get named as a Captain, yet?

Soon ™️

Make him an Admiral.

Have captains been announced? He will def get it. People respect the hell out of him

I think B-Rocks gets to be a captain if he beats Pittsburgh...

I'd imagine they assign captains before the games start

49ers vote for captains

Was a big deal last year bc Trey Lance was NOT a captain after being declared starting QB

Purdy 100% gets the votes this year

I'd be shocked if Purdy wasn't voted in as a captain this year, I think he will be. He's too much of a leader and respected by the team. Even darnold was saying he has a presence to himself. Lol

to me, it's never a good thing regarding a qb when he isn't voted in as a.captain. It's the most important position in sports and the only player that touches the ball every play (besides center).

I don't think a team has a good chance of winning much if the qb isn't viewed as one of the leaders of the team. I'm not taking a shot at Lance here, that is for any team where their qb isn't voted in as cap.

Totally agree. It was something that honestly concerned me quite a bit last year with Lance. Teammates tried to downplay it but let's be honest, it was a big deal. Much more than was made of it.

Purdy is a natural born leader. Zero chance he isn't captain, IMO.
Brocky will be a captain, I think if they voted on team captains a second time at the end of 2022 regular season the locker room would have picked him then as well
One of Youtube's best channels for evaluating QBs. Jenkins is a former NFL QB. BTW, he f**king nailed the Trey Lance eval coming out of the draft.

Yeah, i thought it was concerning. It just reinforces my opinion that he wasn't a field general and too passive, a game manager. It's one thing to be liked on the field and it's another to respected - it's ideal to be both in the eyes of your teammates. I think everyone liked Lance but few respected his ability as the qb, in my opinion. That's how I perceived everything - no one was even concerned that he is gone.

Purdy is out there yelling at people if they mess up. Lmao I find it hilarious cause it's funny to picture how he would be if he was yelling at you but I bet it's intense. Hahaha

So I have the same response I did when it came to the JTO video, I think it's cool that there are still little things he can improve upon and be that much better. In other words, I think it's awesome that he is playing well and the offense is moving, and it's really exciting to think that he could be playing better! The future has great things for us!

Yup I loved that video and now I subscribed to his channel. I loved everything from explaining each route, what he missed and how his footwork was supposed to be on a certain play. 20 years ago on the Webzone there was no videos like Johnnydels, JTO's and now Jenkins that I've seen. Love all the infor, details and the work they put in.

Too bad some of these guys don't review Kyle's run game because that's where Kyle's passing game is built on. I'm looking forward to seeing the gap/Power runs to Trent's side and the zone runs to McKivitz side. It's going to be a headache for defenses because the zone runs to the right can be faked to a counter trey with Big Trent and Big Banks demolishing the DE's and DT's.

With Brock's accuracy and love for throwing to TE's this is going to be a headache for defenses to deal with because those run play fakes have to be honored or they can be very explosive plays.

Agree 💯%, back pre-internet all we had was Glenn Dicky and his articles, and a lot of the sports writers back then didn't know crap, the way some of these YouTubers do. It's amazing. I'm learning stuff all the time from some of these knowledgeable guys.

Connor Cook. I knew that dude wasn't going to make it once his own teammates neglected to make him captain.

There's no way Trey would have been a captain only playing 2 games. He proved nothing on the field with us.

I agree Purdy is more respected in terms of his play, and he's more experienced as a leader, but not sure that will be enough to be captain either.

I hope he is.. but we will see.

I remember when I brought Tim Jenkins up during the 2021 draft debate. I got the who the f**k is Tim Jenkins response. As you said, he nailed it
Last night I watched the Tampa Bay game from last season. I wanted to take a second look at what he was doing in that game.

Looking back at it now, with the benefit of many pundits pointing out this and that, he was amazing. It wasn't just the results, those were obvious. What was amazing was how he did it. A key play was when Ray-Ray and Kittle started in motion at the same time, Purdy stopped his count to avoid a penalty, put them in the correct place, restarted his count, and threw a TD pass. That stuff you can't teach. Opponents are not going to "figure him out" after a few more games. Those things are high-level plays that will have opponents scratching their heads.
