Brady's 2003-2004 stats

2003: 60.2%, 3620 yards, 23 TDs, 12 INTs
Playoffs: 59.5%, 792 yards, 5 TDs, 2 INTs
2004: 60.8%, 3692 yards, 28 TDs, 14 INTs
Playoffs: 67.9%, 597 yards, 5 TDs, 0 INTs

These should be the floor target numbers for 2023. Play efficiently, use your playmakers and defense, be clutch.

Those Brady stats were at the tail end before the NFL changed it to drastically favor QBs. If purdy had 28 TDs and 14 ints that's pretty rough in today's nfl

Fair point. Whatever the 2023 equivalent of this level of efficient but not "team on my shoulders" play is then.

The NFL seemed to change a ton of rules SPECIFICALLY because of Brady. And it all started with them just trying to cover their asses for the blown call against the Raiders. Can't call him the GOAT without an * when you think about all the ways the league bent over backwards to let him win.

Well there was that but the big emphasis started with whiny peyton manning and the colts after they got bodied in the 2003 afccg:

You should check the OL thread. There's a whole slew of fans who are expecting Brock to transcend everything. No matter what.

It's refreshing to see you guys trying to establish realistic expectations.

Hi, french.

I love how he wants to win everyday and that confidence flows throughout the team. I liked jimmy but I didn't get the same feeling watching jimmy as I do when Brock is out there. I really think we found our guy for the next 12-15 years. Let's hope our long drought of a stud QB has finally come to an end and this is the start of something beautiful.

Really? Glad you expressed your opinion on it becaise we had no idea how you felt about him

Nah Hoov, clearly we are all arguing that a QB can make up for a bad OL. 9ers O line and the Chiefs O line in the SB against the Bucs are gonna be twinsies.

No one should be talking about realistic expectations when they try to say without the best OL in the league the SB can't be won.

For the record, if Brock Purdy continues his play from last year he absolutely can transcend not having the best offensive line in the league.

our starting oline is pretty damn good though, mckivitz is the wildcard of the bunch, hopefully he is better than mcglinchy
