Agree 💯%, I'm glad he's not a Seahawk. That's for sure. Purdy will own Pete Carroll for the next decade if can just get the Bosa deal done.

Carroll will be a coach for the next decade? Lol he might still be a little whipper-snapper at 81 though lol

Pete is pretty spry for his age. Lol it'll be a good day for us when he retires cause he is a really good coach.

brock is going to destroy the Seahawks for the next decade though. Mihahahaha

I LOVE YOU BROCK

My favorite thing about Brock is that he is moving that "conversation" about what makes a good QB back in the right direction.

We all get stuck in that "prototype" mindset, fans, front offices, media....everyone gets stuck in that mindset. This is a copycat league, and as the amateurs we all are...we start to label success based on attributes.

" MAN you see that pass, dude....rocketARM!!!"

It is natural, and you can't even fault fans when the dudes that RUN the NFL are worse at it then the fans...damn copycat league for sure.

We were talking about Randle Cunningham this week....dude I loved RC. The arm, the legs...the agility....dude was an insane collection of abilities. You can't draft a Randle Cunningham...... you have to draft a QB first, then hope he has some Randle Cunningham in him....but he has to be a QB first.

Brock is that stark reminder, you have to be a QB first. Step one... be a QB.

There is no photo-type size, no crazy speed, no rocket arm.... he is just a QB that has the ability to impose his will on a defense with his arm.....and it is beautiful.

Does watt rush off the right side? I feel like I read that somewhere, could be mistaken. If so, yes - leave a chip there on every play

Tomlin is a really good coach and I'd expect them to overload mckivitz and test him. Same way I'm sure that we will shovel bosa and hargrave down their rookie LT throat
Griese wasn't sure how Purdy would react. After all, he'd started a single NFL game and was facing a blizzard of challenges as the team prepared for Seattle. He hadn't practiced and knew he wouldn't be 100 percent physically. He'd be playing on an artificial surface, on national television and in a rowdy stadium that had been a decade-long nightmare for the 49ers. On top of that, Purdy felt a heavy responsibility to veterans like Williams, George Kittle and Christian McCaffrey to continue the momentum the team had built in the second half of the season.

It was a daunting mix that would mentally test even a 10-year starter. Purdy was a seventh-round pick who was 12 days away from his 23rd birthday. How would he deal with that mountain of doubt?

"For somebody — anybody — to be able to handle that situation, to be able to mentally put aside how you feel and to be able to focus amidst all of those swirling issues and doubts and fears — that's just not normal," Griese said.
