The Ringer just updated their QB rankings. Brock Purdy obviously moved up from his spot last year (he was #33 on their rankings after he first debuted last year).
Some of the QBs ahead of him
What a joke
almost every rookie over him. Good. Id slap this s**t right on his locker and suck bro look, you SUCK
i don't think brock is similar to Kap in how he gets motivated, but I'd bet that brock gets a lot of juice from the constantly knocking on him and saying he is limited etc. He's uber competitive, so feel like that gets his juices going. I cant' wait to see how he does on Sunday. Going to be a savage.
after he dominates pittsburgh, everyone will just make excuses as to why he played well - and I love it. muahahha I love the doubted underdog.
Purdy could lose this game and still play at a level in which I'd be extremely encouraged.
At the same time, Purdy could win this game and play at a level in which I'm deeply concerned.
If GK doesn't play, that cannot not be used as an excuse, due to the precedent set by many posters here, Purdy needs to perform and perform well.
Yeah, i agree with that. if you strictly just a QB on their stats, then you'll typically be wrong - good or bad. It's also how they play within the game, read the defense, accurate, timing, poise etc. there is a lot that goes into it.
I like Jimmy but there were several games where I thought he played worse than the stats showed. It was really him getting a little lucky and the other guys playing really good. There were also games were I thought his performance was better than his stats, that he made some clutch/tough passes.
Didn't the last time we play Pitt was 2019? and Jimmy led a game winning drive? i think we played them in like week 2 or 3.
