Yeah, and TW has a "tell" as to whether it's a pass play or run play. How's that work out for everyone?

Even if they know what our team is doing every play, which no team does, I saw a stat that we run the best offensive play vs defenses the most in the nfl. In other words, our offensive play calling is almost always the right play call vs the defensive formation.

we are so talented that even if they know what we are doing, it's hard to stop. Only way Steelers stop our offense is if their pass rush has a great day.

they have a good pass rush but it'll only be coming from one side. You can count on Trent to neutralize one of their guys. Brock is super accurate and quick with the ball, The offense is what I'm worried about the least in this game.

i expect 30+ ppg this weekend from us.

Yeah, as soon as Deebo puts his shoulder into Peterson's face mask, we'll see how that plan is going.

"Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face."

Kyle knows exactly how defenses will react to what he's showing.

Yeah, I feel really good about our teams energy and motivation this game. They're going to come out with a lot to prove. Our guys are thug nasty dogs out there - I don't think their rookie/old corners and mediocre linebackers are going to be able to do much. I respect the hell out of Tomlin but we have tons of players amongst the best at what they do, they just have a good amount of talent and two guys that's awesome at what they do (watt & Minkah).

i also think Brock is going to be better than most are expecting, I think he takes a big jump and is super aggressive out there. It'll be beautiful

And Brock knows exactly how to execute the plays 😎

Couple that with the fact that the offense is now tailored to Brock…. Big things about to happen.

Kyle had a whole offseason to diagram plays just for cmc

Yeah on 3rd and 7 and longer, it's a tell that it's gonna be a pass. I'm getting a pick!

Patrick Peterson

Patrick Peterson

I swear Patrick Peterson is one of the most overrated players of my lifetime.

He routinely was considered an all-pro player, but he was truly only great his rookie year, because he never developed into a technical corner, like Champ Bailey, Revis, Sherman, and many other great corners did.

It's funny you say that cause I've always felt that way about him. Like I never thought he was bad but I never really thought he was a lockdown player. I've always been confused how he got so much recognition every yeae

One thing no one in the media talks about in regards to BP is the fact that Kyle's had a full training camp and off season to mold and design the offense around his strengths and limit his weaknesses after having 8 games to learn about that.

Last year BP came in to an offense that was meant for Jimmy, who wasn't nearly as mobile or willing to throw outside the numbers or downfield. Now that Kyle's had time to pour over the film, rethink everything and work with BP for a whole training camp, do we really expect the offense to be the same? People argue "Oh, well the NFL has TAPE on him now." as one of their arguments to why he'll regress. Well, I've got some news for them, Kyle has tape on him too.

Maybe, but it didn't exactly help Jimmy to have that full offseason with Kyle after 2017. Purdy had the offense humming last year, so I hope they don't change much in an attempt to fix something that isn't broken.

Jimmy inexplicably played in God-mode his first 5 games with us. Then...he had time to digest the playbook in the offseason and slowed down a bit.
Brock Purdy spent months studying/digesting the playbook and then hit the ground running when given the opportunity.
I chalk that difference up to the intangibles that BP possesses.

This year...I won't be surprised if he takes a minute getting his confidence (in his body) back. He could be a little tentative until he gets a couple games under his belt. Once that phase passes, I fully expect him to continue his growth in the position. He's just getting started.

Agree with this point. It wasn't until *last year* when Jimmy really started to get the Kyle Shanahan offense, and it was one of his best years from a statistical point of view. So, just with regards to Matt Ryan, it took him two years to figure out Kyle's offense. Jimmy, I think took just a tad longer, and with all his injuries, just made it even longer and longer. Brock definitely has something upstairs to where he just absorbed enough of Kyle's offense to operate it as well as Jimmy after multiple years being in this offense -- in less than a year.
burrow with the five year - 275M dollar deal! Brock is going to sign a 15 year $1B dollar deal. can wait!
