Yeah, I don't get it. He's such a great QB to watch. Along with Mahomes, they're the most exciting QBs in the NFL. I'd even say Tua is the most entertaining.

I'm really concerned about his concussion problem. Once a guy starts getting them, not only do they come more often, they cause more damage. I really hope he can stay healthy.

Exactly... still too early to say Brock > Tua as if it's obvious. Especially after what Tua has shown over a full season...and what Tua did today.

That being said if my team needed to win one game, I'd personally trust Brock over Tua.

To be clear I never chose one over the other in any of these posts. I said Tua does not belong in the group of Mahomes, Burrow, Allen, Herbert, Hurts, Jackson etc.

He's a solid qb most of the time in a great system with absolutely elite weapons.

I like Brock more personally (projecting forward) because I think he handles pressure better, is a better processor, and I like his mobility. We'll see how it plays out going forward.

Let's just be happy there are good QBs in this league now...s**t used to be sorry as f**k.. and that's just boring football to have to endure.

Tua in our offense with our weapons would be unfair. I can't even imagine the kind of plays Shanahan would call
with Brock at the helm, the offense is "elite".

This.

That's the entire point of the exercise in the end.

Get a better RT and it'll go off
15 touchdowns and 3 picks in his 9 starts. Incredible

If it's hating to say he's not an elite QB, then consider me a hater.

Tua had a helluva game today

but ya not elite

Looked like it. Looking forward to watching it at some point this week (more than likely).

I'm convinced now.,. Purdy's the best QB we've had since SY.

And it might not be close.

I was convinced "day f**king 1" (just quoting Karlsson from VGK speech) loooll

He's clearly the best since Shanahan got here. But I won't crown him past Jeff Garcia just yet. However, I think he will show he is there this season.

I would wait a little bit. Jeff Garcia had a great run with the Niners.
But yeah, the Niners just score ton of points with this kid.
The only team that was able to slow down that offense with Brock is the Cowboys and they have Micah Parsons.
He's only 23 years old seriously.^^ And he's coming back from a major injury!

Garcia was my favorite player growing up, my brother had a close friend who was close to Garcia. That friend passed along that I was a huge fan of his… and so I got a personal letter and signed photo from him.

So no, I'm not disregarding what Garcia meant to me and this team…. I just see something very special with Purdy.

Absolutely. He's insane. The Randy Moss effect in a smaller package.

There is only one elite QB playing the game right now and it's Mahomes.

you got really good QBs in Allen, Hurts, Burrow…

and then you have good QBs like Tua, Purdy, Herbert, etc

there are also overrated QBs like Geno Smith, Fields, Russell Wilson and Kyler Murray.

If you want to put Mahomes a cut above the rest, I'm not going to make a strong argument otherwise… but Allen, Burrow and Herbert (along with Mahomes) make up tier 1 in my mind. Tier 2 would be Hurts, Jackson, Rodgers, possibly Lawrence.

It's not that important in the end. As was mentioned earlier the entire point of wanting an elite QB is it's the easiest ticket to having an elite offense in today's NFL. We have that with Purdy. Dolphins have at least the elite pass game with Tua.
