He had a weak arm in college. His work in the off-season prior to the draft allowed his lower body to sync with his upper body to improve it. Now it's above average.

No he didn't have a weak arm. He never had a weak arm. He's chucking it all over the field including deep in College. With accuracy. Watch his highlights.

Not even close to a deep ball lol. Great catch by Aiyuk on great coverage on a good throw by Brock. I like that he had the balls to throw back shoulder on that medium range ball.

Elite processing, great decisions, very accurate throws, plenty enough of arm strength. There are some different videos of him throwing bigger bombs. Maybe different highlights or a different year. No he doesn't have a weak arm. I've seen him throw bombs on some highlights very deep. He doesn't have a weak arm.

Beautiful!

An "elite" start to a career?

He's looking great and healthy. The crazy part is he can still improve. I think by mid season Kyle is going to turn this mofo loose

I'm calling it now. He's winning MVP if we can continue to stay healthy. Too many weapons to cover everyone. Not everyone has TJ Watt to save their defense. Purdy is going to EAT this season. I'd be surprised if he isn't easily over 35+ total TDs with high efficiency and low turnovers. If we take the #1 seed in football, it's going to be hard for people to not vote for him. It's the same thing Kyle did with Matt Ryan in 2016, but hopefully this time it ends with his QB helping him win their first Superbowl of many.

People think I'm crazy when I say this, but Purdy is going to be an all-time great. Every decade some no-name QB comes out of nowhere and takes the league by storm. It almost makes me feel like sports is scripted. It's like they always want at least 1 or 2 superstar QBs who aren't 1st round big arm freaks. They basically jumped straight from Warner to Brady to Purdy, and the list is much longer than just these names. This story makes the league so much money and I'm betting a lot of close calls start going our way, the same way it the refs were in Warner and Brady's pockets because of plot armor. I'm not complaining though
he will be the mold for future Kyle QBs

You and Grant Cohn would get along great.
I think he will have to win the Super Bowl for the haters to shut up. I'm sick of them all. He's the real deal. I don't care what anybody says. I definitely believe. I think we can win but we have to prove it one of these years. That will help shut them up.

Oh hell no is Brock on Brady's tier for arm strength. Brady had a low-key cannon. Brock is closer to Joe Montana in arm strength - I just want to see the over the top deep posts to Aiyuk/Samuel/whoever like Montana threw all the time to Rice. Short/medium passing game is fine and effective but let's get the go routes and deep posts attempted. I know Brock is willing to throw longer routes since his disposition is to look long then short. Hope we see that manifest more than we did today - but if we keep putting up 30+ can't really complain.

Wasn't the TD that Kittle stole from McCloud last year a good one?

I don't think Purdy will be throwing it 40+ in the air or anything, but this offense doesn't really request he do that.

You think that second TD to Aiyuk classified as a deep ball? Great play on great coverage but that was not deep. It was 19 f**king yards.

Lmao.
