Not even close to a deep ball lol. Great catch by Aiyuk on great coverage on a good throw by Brock. I like that he had the balls to throw back shoulder on that medium range ball.

It was deeper than any Trey Lance threw today

He had a weak arm in college. His work in the off-season prior to the draft allowed his lower body to sync with his upper body to improve it. Now it's above average.

Oh hell no is Brock on Brady's tier for arm strength. Brady had a low-key cannon. Brock is closer to Joe Montana in arm strength - I just want to see the over the top deep posts to Aiyuk/Samuel/whoever like Montana threw all the time to Rice. Short/medium passing game is fine and effective but let's get the go routes and deep posts attempted. I know Brock is willing to throw longer routes since his disposition is to look long then short. Hope we see that manifest more than we did today - but if we keep putting up 30+ can't really complain.

Wasn't the TD that Kittle stole from McCloud last year a good one?

I don't think Purdy will be throwing it 40+ in the air or anything, but this offense doesn't really request he do that.

Yes that one was excellent last year that Kittle stole from RayRay.

Loved seeing that one and I hope when the opportunities are there for those kinds of plays he keeps throwing them. You don't need to be able to throw it 65 yards in the air to throw a deep post or go route.

You and Grant Cohn would get along great.

You think that second TD to Aiyuk classified as a deep ball? Great play on great coverage but that was not deep. It was 19 f**king yards.

Lmao.

Who cares? Lmao. It was a TD from the field position they had.

Indeed.

And a great play and ballsy throw to give Aiyuk a chance on a 50/50 ball. Haven't seen a back shoulder throw by one of our qbs in a long time so it was awesome to see on that non-deep ball lol
Wanting Brock to throw deep with TJ Watt on McKivitz lol

Did you want him to throw it deep on that play?

It was from the field position they had and it was a GREAT throw. Pin point accuracy. You guys want him to throw longer than the field position we have? How does that even work in your minds?

I classify it as a TD pass.

He did make all the right plays today - I have no complaints. Hoping we see further downfield explosiveness through the air a lot this season as I think Brock can make those throws unlike Jimmy.

I mean look at Burrow today - played like doo doo and just got payed 275m. Def happy w/ Brock.

I'm not downing that throw - it was his best throw of the day. Thought it humorous that Brock referred to that a a deep ball lol.

Hope he makes those throws every week.
