Yup, that rushing is always a big key to Kyle's offense. McKivitz did an ok job, I hope he does better against LA. LA did a good job against Seattle. I was surprised about that. Purdy just keeps amazing me. Definitely looks like a generational talent. He had some historic stats broken this last Sunday.

I think the fumble is more on Purdy than McKivitz because he didn't step into the pocket. He was a sitting duck and we saw Shanahan was scolding him afterward.

Well, on one of the TJ Watt hits on Purdy, McKivitz just basically did a McGlinchy and wiffed on the block. Guys like TJ Watt and Bosa are paid like the highest NON-Qb, because they are paid to cause turnovers.

How many Super Bowl teams have won the Super Bowl with a weaker arm QB?

OK, that intrigued me. So, this century, by "eye test" we have the following winners:

Cannon Arm: Rothlisberger, Manning1 (young), Manning2, Rodgers, Flacco , Mahomes , Stafford

Slingshot Arm (can't call any of them "noodle arms" but they're definitely non-gunpowder): Warner, Dilfer, Johnson, Brees, Wilson, Manning1 (old), Foles, Brady (old)

Somewhere In Between (Musket Arm?): Brady (young)

OK, category placing is mine, but it seems to me that even with Brady out of the equation you stand almost an equal chance of winning it all with a premodern weapon as much as with one dating after the invention of gunpowder.

So dumb.

It looks like Pittsburgh's D finally contained our passing offense after the first 4 drives. I'm cautiously optimistic but it seems like they solved our passing offense after a quarter and a half.

finally contained our passing offense after we had a 20 point lead

you don't think there is a correlation there? you really must be new to football

wait you might be on to something despite Dallas Cowboys winning by 40 points Dak only had 140 yards passing

I think the Giants figured out their offense with Dak he might be benched for week 2

I think what you were seeing is KS famous prevent offense in play.
I have always been of the opinion that there is a difference between arm strength and arm talent. They are not necessarily the same thing. Case in point, Joe Montana did not have the strongest arm but he had great arm talent. He made countless great and pinpoint passes throughout his career that was witnessed by all. His A+ football brain directing his arm equaled A+ passing talent. The same is beginning to hold true with Brock, like Joe he is not going to knock barn doors off with throws from 60 yards away as guys like Kyle Boller, JaMarcus Russell or Jay Schroeder did but he is looking like a QB with plus plus football brain coupled with arm talent. Brock suits Kyles system to a T as Joe suited Bill Walsh's system perfectly.

They didn't. The 49ers ran away with it and were averaging over 5 yards per carry. Why would they keep passing if they could run at will and were way up?

Your criticisms of the game plan this morning are terrible.
I thought purdy would unite all 49er fans.

Nope. Still some butt hurt fans in here.

Brock couldn't really do much after his second TD. Maybe Pittsburgh figured something out but he couldn't move the ball at will like his first 3 or 4 drives.
An article says Pittsburgh made Brock look like Montana or Young. Maybe he is.
