If it comes down to him and sudfeld you have to cut sudfeld on his potential alone.

He might be a diamond in the rough. You can't cut him he's shown way too much potential and he will get scooped up. His floor to me looks like fringe starter high quality backup maybe better. With experience he might be a franchise QB.

Holy bad takes batman

Tua and Hurts deserve to be in that conversation imo.

Not for me. Tua is not durable whatsoever and now injury prone. Hurts is nowhere near the passer as any in my top 3.

Tua has dealt with concussions. Not sure if that equals injury prone. Hurts went toe to toe with Mahomes in the SB and accounted for 2x 1k yard receivers and 35 total TD's last season. Now if you are saying pure passer and not overall QB than I would agee that Hurts doesn't belong on that list.

Everything he said seemed pretty accurate. Brock somewhere between 10-15th, but I can accept a small sample size for skepticism. And maybe bump one number up with Rodgers going down.

How many QBs would you trade straight up for Purdy right now and who are they?

* Understand there will be some homerism here, myself included
* Assume you can get each QB on Purdy's current contract to take salary cap implications out of it - purely a performance assessment, now and projecting into the future.

I am struggling to come up with more than 8. This might be the whole list (not in order):

Mahomes
Burrow
Hurts
Lawrence
Allen
Jackson
Herbert

and even a couple of those I kind of have to think about based on scheme fit…..

Dak? Stafford? Rodgers? Cousins? Tua? Hard pass

The reason I don't put Hurts there is because he's so reliant on running. That ability decreases quickly during a QB's career. I would not take him over Purdy. Nope.
Gunna go ahead and give BP credit for Tom's retirement. Ppl say it was the divorce but no..he got beat down by a new guy and was like, "I can't hang with these young whipersnappers anymore". He was gettin older though. But next to Brock he got really old lol

I was born with some kind of sixth sense that only came once per 1-2 years. This is my hunch:

Brock Purdy is the second coming of Joe Montana for our Niners and he is the most important weapon to overcome Mahome for the 6th Lombardi and next Niner dynasty.

So: I won't trade Brock Star for any QB including Patrick Mahome. Let's go Niners; let's go Bang Bang Niners Gang.

You make a strong case, but I'd probably trade him for Pat, lol.

rn I am only really concerned about those two against Purdy..would love another KC rematch in Vegas, oh hell ya. The Bengals would be fun too. Would also love the Raiders to get their ass beat in Vegas. But I don't see that one. A 🐬 beatdown would be very sweet too, lol. Wouldn't that be interesting..the team the Purdys loved..face them in the SB? And Dan Marino looks down from his box and is like, "This kid is better than me" lol

You know it's September when people are talking Dolphins SB. Then the December phins hit like clockwork.

Hot take: Parsons wants to be traded to the 49ers and play for Purdy.
