Okay, but even with the incompletions he still had an elite 9 ypa. Any NFL head coach would take that even if he completed only 50%.

You have to keep in mind that deep passers tend to have lower completion rates anyway because they take more risks.

If anyone was gonna struggle to separate film study vs rooting interest, it would be this one.

I am just saying when Pat was talking about I nearly had one, that's the play right?

Pat P did have 3 or so nice breakups on Aiyuk and almost intercepted one. He didn't play a bad game. Aiyuk was just unreal. I don't think any corner in the NFL can cover him.

It was a good PBU but there was close to a zero chance of PP picking that ball off with the ball location and only getting his left hand on it.

Aiyuk was perfect when targeted. PP had PBU's on Kittle, Jennings and maybe one on Deebo.

Agreed. Calling that a dropped INT is quite the stretch.
Yesterday, Brandon Aiyuk joined the list of players and observers who have said Brock Purdy has "it." "I'm not sure I can even define what 'it' is, but he has 'it,'" said the receiver.

Kyle Shanahan may have defined "it" in an interview he gave:

"Brock's pretty steady," Shanahan said. "Brock, you don't see much different each day. He's a very faith-based person. I think that gives him his foundation as much as anyone I've been around."

Purdy has made no secret of his faith and how he relies on it in everything he does. Maybe that is "it."

Tim Tebow had a lot of faith. Did not translate to any it. I think what makes Brock good is that he is a good football player.

Since he knows football doesn't define him, he is able to relax out there and just do his job to the best of his ability. Some players play way to tight and make mistakes. Look at Josh Allen from the Bills.

So we may be watching a new version of "Joe Cool".
