I honestly had high hopes for Joy when she was Cowherd's sidekick. So disappointed that she decided to be just another run of the mill hot take personality that sounds ignorant.

She still bad tho

I love QBs that arm big, have strong arms and can run really well. (who doesn't). However I've finally decide that I'd rather have a QB that makes quick and smart decisions than an athletic one that make critical mistakes. In other words, for Kyle's offense I'd rather have Purdy than Allen. I know Allen would probably be better in Kyle's offense than he is in Buffalo but when you have the big arm you often go for the HR than the short gain that nets a first down.

Yep and Kyle likes to wear down the defense and keep our defense fresh. That requires Loooong drives with a lot of running and short to intermediate passing. I don't think he really wants to rely on a deep vertical passing game because you miss out on this.

IIRC the article I read, his ball speed was clocked in the 52-53 MPH range in college against a pro average of 55. Then after college, he went to that QB guru who increased his speed to 56-57. The same article noted that Josh Allen had the highest speed at 62 MPH, with Mahomes and Herbert at 60. No other QBs were in that same range. Hence, it would be fair to say Purdy has a slightly stronger-than-average arm.

Lol even with this post ppl will be like, "Not sure about his arm strength, doesn't throw deep(what?), small sample size.." 🙃

Lol how about we just have a damn good qb and enjoy the ride?

Also top 15 qbs as mentioned in the Parsons video? I would say top 5.

Guess he has to win the SB for ppl to feel comfortable with saying that he is damn good. Marino was great, never won an SB. But the way he is going, SB future is bright. Hope it's in Vegas!!!!

Let's goooo

She has the speaking/demeanor talent for it but her "takes" are so wildly offbase its insane. Then she says it with such confidence with an echo-ing Shady it becomes hard to listen to... and it's not just the Niners, Any team that isnt the eagles or dolphins pretty much get that treatment. They even alluded to arguments with the writing staff cause her and shady's takes dont match that of the people that watch everygame and create the segments.

I just think it's funny that they didnt even air a segment (at least on youtube) about the niners this week, guessing Joy and shady picked steelers, Acho picked Niners and they dont even want to deal with the backlash of it. Not a single video on the channel references the niners as of this moment and its been two days.

Edit: Videos about the win over the steelers, there are a few videos about how the niners window is closing and we are gonna suck etc. from before the game was played.

CK had a hose that would put Joe Montana to shame, it simply didn't matter
there is a lot more to the game than your fastball
ask the Steelers about his arm talent, I would be curious their replies

You want both sets of traits ideally, but the processing and accuracy is a requirement. It's the first priority. You can't successfully do the job without it.

if you hate Kyle or Brock your gonna f**king hate this.

Just wait till end of season to see where he stacks up with everyone else. No need to proclaim any level to him before then.
I'm just excited to see how he progresses this year.

I'm not that nervous about him like I was with many of our previous QBs.
Just got back from Pittsburg. I fn ❤️ BCB!!

After Juice destroyed Fitzpatrick in 2019, Aiyuk destroyed Kazee, and Patrick Peterson couldn't back up his words, they probably would rather not even think about us at this point.

What posters have been saying all offseason but some didn't want to hear it. They would rather talk about his "noodle arm". It's as if there is more to being QB than arm strength.

Some people want to see it play out before proclaiming him "the one" fans are so short sighted and instant gratification based. 200 passing attempts against poor defenses (for the most part) wasn't gonna put me over the edge to be fully on board. Sorry if that bothered you. I never said he stunk or anything.

I'll root for him every step of the way and I've talked about how I like his moxie. Not a single person said he didn't have that quality.

Yes he does have a subpar arm, that isn't gonna change and even he's stated he doesn't have that tool in his tool belt. Arm ability matters when you play QB at the highest level in the world. It just does regardless of how hard you want to poo poo it. No it's clearly not the only thing that matters, we've seen plenty of successful QBs not have that. It is however a part of playing the position. Same s**t with Jimmy not being mobile or really able to extend plays. You s**t on that ability because he doesn't possess it…Brock does and ya'll love it. Funny how that works.

like Eric Crocker said…Speed doesn't matter until you need it. Same thing with arm strength.

I'm not gonna start some baloney argument…Great first week by the whole team including the QB. Let's keep it going in the right direction!
what kinda arm strength are you looking for that will make you feel better ?

Not bottom tier among starting NFL QBs. Like I said it's only one thing, he does a bunch of other stuff well
At least Brock is starting to get a little love but you can tell a lot of people in the media are just waiting for Purdy to have one bad game to call him trash and say see I told you so.

If any other QB did what Purdy has done at this point in their career they would be calling them the next great QB.

Ball speed has next to nothing to do with arm strength in a football game. Unless you're telling me Colt McCoy has a stronger arm than Herbert and Flacco. Also you're telling me Brock's arm strength is better than theirs…which is in fact fake news

You seem to be off your rocker. You barged in accusing me of something when I was simply was having a conversation with other posters about how we would rank our top 5 and 10 QBs. Please calm down.

this you signing up for an account on the WZ the day Trey was traded? screen name checks out.

This guy wasn't a Trey fan, all his posts were just talking about Darnold and how amazing he is.

You fell for that lol

Ya I did that thing where you try and use your brain.

It picked up in the fact that he never posted in the Trey thread, was researching a s**t of load of Darnold stats or already knew them, and gushed about Darnold non stop.

I can't believe I fell for this Trey Stan!
