I can't lol

He will die on this hill

I didn't bring it up bro. I'm also not wrong. Name me 5 starting QBs with weaker arms? You can't. It's also doesn't mean he's a bad QB. People just get all bent out of shape if anything critical is said about their QB. Next ya'll gonna tell me Brock is 6-4 and 230lbs

Dude you gotta let this go. This is like having Kate Beckinsale as your wife and complaining that she has small breasts. I mean really lol.

Exactly Furlow. It's funny you mention bc that yesterday I was saying she has got to be one of the most beautiful women ever it's just too bad she doesn't have much tits or ass. Then I smacked myself in the face and said come on she's close to a 10, even if I'm a picky son of a b***h.

I'm SAYING! I love my wife to death and she's hot AF, but she knows if I ever get a shot at Kate (not happening lol) it's ON.

But yes, let's be happy with Purdy. He's not perfect, but damn it he's ours and he's as close to a 10 as we've had in decades. Dafuq are we doing dwelling on whether he can throw it 55 mph or 65 mph? It's getting to where it needs to go immediately, with accuracy, in stride, and not putting the WR in harms way. s**t I watched most of the Raiders game and Jimmy was hanging dudes out to dry left and right. I don't recall Purdy doing that much, if ever.

Damn, Furlow...I need a hall pass like that!

And yes about Purdy. He's fun to watch running this offense as he just looks like he knows what he's seeing, knows what to do in so many situations, and gets catchable balls into the hands of his playmakers for them to do their thing. He's a playmaker himself with what he can do not just passing but scrambling and running on occasion.

"Lacks a really strong arm. Can't drive the ball down the field and does not throw a really tight spiral."

can anyone name the QB?

Easy, Brady.

People forget Brady grew into his arm strength, which was nothing crazy but serviceable. Compare Brock to Brady's arm strength alone their first two years Brock looks stronger. But put him on the Brady 12 and we will have the next ten superbowls pho sho jk. But Brock still hasnt even hit real strength yet, that comes around 28.

While I can see Brock adding zip he doesn't have that tall frame like Brady which helped him drive a ball.

That is a good point, Brady had the bigger levers that when he hit the 26-28 range arm strength wasnt an argument anymore like in his early days.
fast eyes beats a fast arm

yessir
and then you talk arm talent, pull up the incomplete to Moss at the end of the Super Bowl

bottom line, these draft profiles are wrong, kind of a lot (we should know by now)
ppl still cling to it tho, early in the Brady years, I bet ppl were like 'gee he doesn't have Bledsoe's arm'
can't make all the throws, and so forth..
Why isn't Randall Cunningham the GOAT? That guy had an ARM!

His pocket movement and scrambling is ridiculously underrated. Every announcer says "sneaky athletic." Just be honest guys, you mean "pretty quick for a white guy" lol. He has legitimate burst and he uses it to create just enough space to find a passing lane, get to an open WR, etc. When he moves within or out of the pocket, our offense gets VERY dangerous. So many playmakers, it's impossible to keep everyone covered for that long. I think the deep throws will start to come as teams move up closer to the LOS to try and take away the run and short throws; that will open up more deep opportunities.

No one is saying hes 6'4" 230 or that he has elite arm strength, you're just arguing with yourself at this point.

If we agree it doesn't make or break his career then lets just drop it

And he was dual threat.

Too bad he couldn't just chuck the ball up to rookie Randy Moss for the bulk of his career. What an insane season that was.

Excuse my ignorance, I haven't followed this conversation but is there throws that Brock has missed due to his lack of arm strength? I haven't noticed any.

Exactly zero.

You haven't seen arm strength until you've seen Jim Drukenmiller lob 60-70 yarders in pre game warm up.
Dude was a legend, barely missed the HOF 😎

Ryan Mallet could throw it through a brick wall.

Culpepper tried to continue that legacy. Turns out you need more than just an arm and a security blanket. But also knees ... but seriously would of loved to see what Minn could of done with a healthy Pepper for a couple more years.
