Yeah that s**t needs to improve though. Brock isn't gonna make it through the season with that amount of pressures/hits. Had a couple fumbles (one lost) on top of it.
The right side needs to get it together.
edit: how is that 12th worst when that tweet says 30th?
I'm sorry 10th worsed. Its funny because pretty much every o line we consider to be top tier didn't look all that good in pass pro this past week.
It should improve for several reasons. CM won't be up against an all pro in Watt every week. It was the first game that CM and SB have played together in a regular season game. They actually didn't look bad on the first 4 drives of the game. It was when Pitt started to run a bunch of stunts and blitzes on their side when things started to deteriorate. Now they have some film of it for which they can learn from. If CM and Burfod still look like they did in the 2nd half of that game by our bye week than we should start to worry.

Listening to Lock on 49ers this AM and yes the lack of arm strength overall came up (it's a thing) BUT what he's shown to be damn good at is the pre/post processing. You don't need an amazing arm if you can do this well. He seems to have answers quickly and if not for the most part he can move around long enough to make something positive happen.
it's arrow up for BCB. Let's smoke those Rams

Thanks for this, hmmm not sure why Nick said 30th? Also what is DB%? I've never seen that on PFF.
yeah it's WK1 so hopefully things improve. Those numbers are outrageous for a lot of teams

That is the percentage of dropbacks where the QB faced pressure.
DB= dropback

Pittsburgh's blitz rate was over 38% against us. That is higher than the rate of blitzes we saw from MIA & TB last season when Brock first took over. That is the most blitzes our o line has seen under Brock Purdy.

Yeah Pitt has always been known for bringing the blitz packages

They don't call them Blitzburgh for nothing. I don't expect to see nearly as many blitzes going forward. For 1) Brock has shown to excel against the blitz and 2) our weapons are just too good not too drop 7 or 8 into coverage more consistently.

steelers have a top 3 DL so this is actually good I think we have a solid OL. Other than Dallas and Phili no one even comes close
edit: Also poor Daniel Jones pressured on almost 70% of dropbacks? and it must've "eased up" when the score got out of hand. It must've been 75%+ when the game was within 2-3 scores
