That's because he does. But now finally having a qb that can read the game at a high level makes it even better.

Telling that you only quoted this and not the tweet CLEARLY showing that Purdy used his eyes to get the WR open. Which he does constantly. But that doesn't fit your narrative so...

Both can be true... Kyle has been scheming guys open before Purdy was even in high school lol. Purdy is also great at looking defenders off.

What narrative? Kyle is great and Brock has been great in his sample.

Exactly. Brock also sees the defender in the lane when its not wide open and doesnt just throw to him anyway. The most impressive part of what he's shown to me.

Brock_Star sees everything. That's what makes him special.

Both statements are true.

Both statements are true.

To add more nuance…

Trey didn't develop fast enough for Kyle's liking, the injuries played a part in that as well.

And the emergence of Purdy through a wrench in the whole plan as well. So ya trey wasnt great but maybe he coulda gotten there eventually.

Like I said it isn't the only thing that matters…everyone gets all uptight because he isn't great at one thing lol. Ya'll are so emotional

I only see one person uptight about his arm
lol

not evaluating it correct imo
anyone want to say D Jones, Pickett or Alex Smith are dramatically better in the arm cannon dept, step right up..
they aren't doing a thing with velo that BP can't

those are round 1s and some top 10s including a #1 overall..
it's like Shanny says, do we watch the other teams?
if you want to say he's not Herbert or Allen with his velo, sure
he isn't final year all knuckleballs Peyton Manning either (who btw, won a SB that year)

Fearless. I wonder if he yelled out "oh my god!" like Geno Smith, probably not.

He seems more like an "oh my gosh" guy.
I'm not wowed by his arm strength, and I'm also not disappointed by it.

Its fine where it is currently at to succeed at a high level in this league and will not be a hinderance at all. Basically its a non-concern.

it's a legit skill that is learned, you look at a pass defender and he freezes

In order to do that (look off zone defenders) a QB needs to trust that he has already diagnosed the defense. He already knows a certain route will be open so he can now spend his "free time" looking off zone defenders. A critical skill in today's NFL. I don't know at what point that clicks in a QB's career but it already has for Brock.

usually when a QB stares down a defender is when the combo is based on progressions from a key defender... he stares him down and then progresses based on the reaction.... happens with full field reads when the QB looks at the free safety first to determine which half of the field to progress... believe it or not these skills are coached and learned at the high school level in good programs
