Dan Marino may be the greatest arm talent ever but he never one a SB. Aaron Rogers only won once and never made it back again Jim Kelly went to 4 and won none. Among today's group only Mahomes has made it. There's just a lot more than arm talent and running to make a good QB.

It's like Patrick Peterson, they are just adding fuel to the fire

I get the excitement but damn some of you need to slow your roll with super bowl and MVP talk haha. It's week 2! Our (and everyone else's) starting lineup is going to look different on both sides of the ball come week 18.

What are you talking about? Did you not see Brock already being fitted for his Hall of Fame jacket!?

I'll slow my roll, with a more conservative, realistic, projection

300 yds and 3 total TDs on Sunday
he's got more than that in him, but hard to pile on the stats when it's over at halftime
we will have to just learn to deal with it, I guess

It's always at least partially play design, unless the play design totally breaks down. Did you read the tweet though? And then watch from that end zone view? Purdy's feet, shoulders, and eyes are all pointing to the far left. That pulls the backside safety WAY to the offensive left (you can see this in the shot). Then Purdy quickly resets his feet and throws to Aiyuk who is wide open. Well, he wouldn't have been wide open had Purdy not used his feet/shoulders/eyes to make room for the throw by pulling that backside safety over.

He does this on almost every single pass play. Unless it's a hot read because of a blitz or the #1 WR comes wide open immediately, he is using his eyes (which include his feet and shoulders) to move defenders to create easy passing lanes. This also gives the WR more space for YAC, and is safer as it doesn't pull defenders closer to the WR for a kill shot.

It's nearly impossible to see this on the broadcast at game speed. What it looks like is guys are wide open and Purdy is just "finding the open WR." Which is only telling part of the story. The other part is that he is GETTING THEM OPEN and also throwing them open. He just has an innate knack for understanding what defense he's facing and then what he needs to do to get his WR(s) open.

Yep, I'm as excited as everyone else. There's just a long season ahead and we've had a top 3 team every year but one the past 5 years and had our hearts broken by catastrophic injuries every year.

Brock has some of the quickest feet since Joe.😳

I'll slow my roll by stepping up the ante! I'm all in baby! Ready to have my heart ripped out again! After 25+ consecutive years over having your heart ripped out every year, who really at this point. When it's good, I'll be all in. When it's not, I'll just admit we aren't winning anything.

His ability to quickly change his target with no wasted movement is super impressive. No throwing off his back foot or sidearming.
