I never thought it was possible. Hahaha this tells me that world peace is possible

Brock's story as the last draft pick is too good for the league to not take advantage of. The NFL should want Brock to win the SB. It would inspire many and draw in casual fans.

This may be more important than people think. Maybe it's conspiracy thinking but I believed the league wanted Patrick to get his first SB against us, so they could market him as the next superstar with Brady's career ending soon. I'll always believe that tbh, that game was so uneven in calls I will never forget it.

So… not only was getting better QB play important to winning it all on the field, I feel like it's important to have a potential top QB so that it incentivizes the league to help make it happen.

Y'all crazy. There are still a few low key haters in here. Their nuance is growing though. Not sure if that's them hiding it better or actually warming up to Purdy.

hahaha I think it's more of that they just want to make sure Brock can be better than what they anticipate Lance will be.
Which I obviously disagree with but it's just part of the break up process, time will tell. I think a super bowl will make everyone happy - even if it's just for one day.

I think the "Purdy hate" is mostly manufactured by other posters in here.

Sure, you have some posters that are biased for Trey being the guy long term, I saw some "racism" comments which were completely ridiculous, but most of that crap is on platforms like Twitter.

For me, Purdy does a lot of the things I criticized Jimmy for not doing. Ultimately, what Purdy shows is exactly what I wanted for this team, because it was never important for Trey to become the guy, it was just important we found OUR guy. I think it's clear we did just that.

I believed in Trey, but never once did I assume he would be the guy just by stepping into the building, he had to earn that and he didn't, mainly due to the combination of his rawness and injuries IMO, while I respect others may disagree.

I defended Trey from definitive comments that I believed were unknowable, or comments that were impossible to prove with such little data, but I never defended Trey when posters merely said they didn't believe in him, because I felt that was very reasonable. But since I defended Trey at all, several times I was perceived to be "team Trey" and hated Brock, when in reality, I'm team 49ers… and the 49ers are moving forward with Brock and I couldn't be happier.

Here's a clue. Defending, highlighting, and amplifying "Kyle's offense" ad nauseum in the Purdy thread.

Here's another clue. 95% of someone's posts being about Purdy's "lack of arm strength" to the point of trying to claim that he is bottom 5 in the NFL.

For whatever reason, "hater" really triggers some of you. We can use whatever word you want. Bottom line some are still negative about their outlook on Purdy and still not confident nor even hopeful that he's a franchise QB.

Brock's story as the last draft pick is too good for the league to not take advantage of. The NFL should want Brock to win the SB. It would inspire many and draw in casual fans.

It's crazy how many times in the NFL sub Reddit I've read "I despise the 49ers so much… but I just can't actively root against Purdy. Literally can't do it."

He just says all the right things off the field, is an inherent underdog being drafted literally last overall, and, let's just be real here, your average unathletic NFL fan (such as myself ) can relate to him a bit more than any other NFL player. He's an inspiration.

Unless your team is playing against us, he's a feel-good story.
The most promising QB since Garcia. Maybe even young.

Elite processing skills and a 10 yard split are apparently highly underrated QB skills.

He's not just beating team he's crushing them within the first half.

I honestly believe that QBs only have so much ability to manage stress and win close games and comeback games in the second half. Jimmy has elite clutchness but just could not turn it on until the game was on the line. He was forced I to that scenario way too much even for his elite clutch ability to consistently win 4 games vs playoff teams in a row.

Purdy crushes teams. By the second half he's already on cruise control. I believe this will keep his overall stress and need to be clutch to way less games than Jimmy.

This gives us so much better of a chance of winning a SB because he will only need to have a few good games in the playoffs where he will be forced to "give it his all"
The "perception" of Brock not being a "top tier QB" is absolutely rooted in the reality of him being the last pick in the draft. I am not a football scout or anything like that. But, I have watched a lot of football in my 67yrs and there are things you can see that tell you just a little something. One of the things I noticed about Brock that he is more calm in the pocket this year as opposed to last year. His moving and sliding are very noticeable and it shows in his completions. He is patient as he goes through his progressions and I believe his accuracy will ascend. I like his game. The haters can say what they want (and they will). As long as he is standing up in the pocket there is a good chance there is a completion coming
9ers SB in Vegas, Purdy-please! Lol

Brock is going to put the league on notice by them never knowing when he will lost his first regular season. He's also at a 5-1 TD/Int ratio since the dolphins game.

it's kinda crazy because it's arguable that we will be favorites in each game, if we stay healthy. I don't think it'll happen but it would be nuts if we stayed healthy all year and went undefeated. Lol the stress of that record has to be awful though. Like how everyone wanted to take down the warriors when they went 73-9. I'll be perfectly happy with 15-2
It's not Brock trynna adjust to the speed of the NFL. It's now the NFL trynna keep up with Brock

Steve Young was doing something like that in 1994. Except - Brock is a decade younger. Not saying Brock = Steve, but dang, he's 9-0 as a rookie/2nd year player. As for the playoffs, as long as he's healthy, he's unbeaten.

I think he should be trademarking "Mr. Irrelevant" and leaning into it as a chip on his shoulder. I actually think it makes a pretty cool, ironic nickname. "Mr. Irrelevant" hoisting the Lombardi Trophy one day...

This is a franchise QB throw.

Colton and Burford have to step up their pass protections because we can't have Purdy always bailing the offensive line out like this.
