A sign of a weak arm is a lack of precision and control on deeper throws.

Not worried about Purdy being inaccurate on a handful of deeper throws today. Just something to keep an eye on.

He was an excellent game manager today.

I see we're moving the goal posts now lol.

Okay this is just a ridiculously stupid post.

I don't think so Purdy sucks at throwing deep just like Jimmy G game planning for Purdy is beginning to take effect on him

Yet Purdy was a top 5 QB on deep passes last season.

A sign of a weak arm is throwing the ball too far?

Yes, in the sense that the more effort you have to put into a throw the less control you'll have on where it goes. Merely throwing it 40-50 yards is not a struggle for any QB in the NFL. Nick Mullens even hit some deep throws.
There is something special about the kid. He misses 4 open receivers yet he is always in control and has full on amnesia and just keeps rolling. He his HIM. If anyone has any questions about this kid don't. He is the man. He will correct the over throw and all will be well. I caught the raiders game and my god what a difference…. Traded a pinto for a Bentley and left with more money in our pocket. Love it.
That Purdy is willing to take those deep shot tells me he'll have games when he hits on them. Making sweeping declarations after one game is silly.

Purdy just needs to get on the same page with his WRs on the deep throws. Maybe they need to practice those more.

What was the Rams gameplan? Let guys get open deep and hope he misses?

This thing with the arm. Arm strength only matters if/when the QB makes off schedule throws and can't put his body into it. If the QB is in a clean pocket and launches it, most power actually comes from the lower body.

I think you could tell he wasn't putting everything he had into those throws so I don't think this is a great explanation. He just missed. He was a little off this game accuracy wise, but thankfully it didn't cost us.

I thought the worst miss was the 3rd one to deebo. Just put a little more air under it.
It wasn't a great game. But if you can win on the road with no TOs and playing your "C" game, that does say something. In many ways, he looked like Jimmy today.

What goal posts am I moving? Geezus. God forbid anyone criticize your precious on even the smallest thing.

Like I said, I'm not even worried about Purdy missing afew throws, but overthrowing on deep throws does not mean someone has a strong arm. That's the only point I'm making.

Might have been a loss, just saying.

Makes zero sense. He was damn good with the deep ball last season. So I am willing to give him a pass on those misses today. I see big arm QB's over throw them all the time. Also, dude is coming off a major elbow injury. I am sure his deep ball will be the last thing to come back.

Minus the stupid turnover
