A sign of a weak arm is a lack of precision and control on deeper throws.

Not worried about Purdy being inaccurate on a handful of deeper throws today. Just something to keep an eye on.

He was an excellent game manager today.

He over threw them. So not a sign of a weak arm.

hell we don't even know if it was a wrong route, who knows.

i personally think it was Brock missing it'll come with more experience. He has another game under his belt and more film to review. Seen a lot more defenses etc. all that stuff is important for a guy with a 10 or so games under his belt. He did a great job with ball security

Could be he missed them because they were so wide open he got over-juiced.

After all, he hit a covered Jennings down field.

Weird game from brock. Those deep misses were unusual. He had no problem with those last year. Maybe arm still not 100% there yet.

He missed on several completions too. Got to shore up that accuracy.

I've only seen one qb ever actually improve overall on accuracy. It's very rare - that's Josh allen. He wasn't terrible but he improved things like his ball placement, layering, etc.

99% of the time, guys won't improve it much. You can call easier plays and increase their stats (think Geno smith). It was a big reason I never liked Lance. Hoping someone will become a great accurate passer when they're not good at it at all, is like asking to win the lottery to me.
Honestly, the throw he missed that he should have hit was the short one to Deebo on 3rd down that resulted in a 3-and-out instead of a 1st down.
Oh they changed Brock's passing touchdown to a rushing touchdown?? That's Bs- how was it a run?

Yea that was a nice throw. I liked the throw to deebo in the corner that was penalized as well.

A little off with the accuracy overall today. Nothing crazy.

Drew Brees improved a ton as well. There was a reason San Diego took Rivers.

Not a forward pass.

Bree's wasn't inaccurate though - he just wasn't doing certain things well, like allen. Guys like Zach Wilson and Trey are just inaccurate. There is essentially nothing they do well in the passing game accurately consistently.

if I end up being wrong, good for them. I don't want them to fail, I just think it's extremely unlikely

I'll have to rewatch it. It looked forward to me but I guess I didn't see it right
I can't believe some fans in here. This guy hasn't lost a start where his arm wasn't falling off, he might take this team to a super bowl and could be a pro bowler and people are b***hing. You guys must not have been around for the Steve Stenstrom, Cody Pickett, Ken Dorsey days. HE IS ON HIS 9th START, he isn't going to be perfect.

Can you guys take you Jimmy Stanism to the proper thread please? Thanks

It looked clearly backwards to me. Was surprised it was initially credited as a passing td, before it was taken away.

It's a touchdown either way. Stats mean dick.
