His worst game. He was rattled by this shoddy oline.

Also depressed with shannahans predictable playcalling. His willingness to run McCaffrey and deebo into the ground. His refusal to play Mitchell or Mason. There was such a lack of variety and a terrible game plan by Kyle.

We should be dropping 40 a game with these weapons.Short pass, Mcaffrey up the middle, short pass, Deebo up the middle. Just flood the field with these guys.

"we should" ?

That's not even KS's wheelhouse or plan. He is a get a lead and protect it guy - always has been.

40 pts a game is for teams with no defense and .500 records.

Purdy seems pretty special at that. One of the reasons why we win. He doesn't make the bonehead plays. Very overlooked and underrated.

Agreed. It's funny because he made a lot of boneheaded plays in college when trying to make plays. His playing style is conductive to that but he seemed to be able to cut out the heroball stuff.

As far as decision making, it's no contest. Brock is better at making decisions and reading the field than all of the other 49ers starting QBs in Kyle era...combined.
It's incredible how he sees the field and how quickly he reacts to stuff happening.

Yes I agree.

who could argue.

But but but grant cohn says he throw too soft
Brock sturdy. Look at those legs.

Thought he played well again.

Had some rough overthrown, but he has rarely made any bone head throws like Jimmy did.

his "bad" game was 30 points of offense and no INTs

All three of them.
His worst game based on the high standard he's set so far. Missed on some wide open throws that i'd expect him to hit. No biggie. Didn't cost us the game. He showed some excellent command especially in the two minute drill. Arrow still pointed up.

Me too. People will hang on to the deep misses, but other than that, he was fairly on point and this offense was humming along.
That drive before the half was very Montana-ish. I mean, smooooth. Impressive af.

Agree it wasn't his best game. Missed three passes, he'd hit basically in his sleep, so to speak. But DANG, no interceptions and Jimmy had (I think) two. I"ll take the win any day! I think Mahomes today got 17 points (or something like that) in his game 2. 30 is better than 17, in my opinion. Way to go Brock! he's a gem of a QB.

That miss to Deebo was pretty bad tbh, but he still had himself a nice game overall.

It was probably the worst out of three misses. The miss to Jennings was probably the least egregious because it required a more precise window.

I thought the one to Aiyuk was the toughest and most difficult throw, the jennings one was more surprising cause he almost always hits those. I thought the deebo one was tough because of the situation - you have to come through in those moments and put the nail in the coffin.

I'll have to rewatch it but it seemed like he rushed all three because of pressure. Which is whatever. I just would like him to hit at least, especially in a game like this where one of them would of drastically changed the game. Still had a good game and still continued to show how he doesn't get rattled and remains calm/cool

Yes. Kyle has been qb for this team for the last 6 years.

At least you could be like Furlow and admit how wrong you were about Kyle being the problem and not Jimmy.

Plays are open. Players have to hit them. Brock didn't do it as well as he normally does today.

I said Kyle has some problems, not that he is the problem.

I would argue that Purdy's common sense, calm, deliberate decision making was as good as normal today, which won us the game.

He got jittery on a couple of throws, which is a small thing that didn't cost us the game, because of his deliberate common sense decision making.

When he called a time out, after a Shakey catch by Deebo (in the replay it looked like he fumbled the catch) was ballsy. I thought Rams would challenge that Deebo catch. But they didn't!
It's just funny cause we have such high expectations for him because of how he has played. He still played really well and efficient, just missed 2-3 throws we expect him to hit. Honestly, it would of been a very different game if he hits just one of them.. it's fine to miss one or so a game but not 3. At least that's how I view it.

he still did a lot of positive things and maintained his composure throughout a tough gritty game. There was never a time during that game where he could relax, but still came through. Love it
I think today's game was one of the games where I didn't get a feeling where his throw could've been picked. Besides the overthrows he was pretty sharp on all other throws.
